The purple mattress started out strong but it has only been about 8 months now and there are two clear dents in the mattress where me and my girlfriend sleep. There is no longer any support provided by the purple inside the mattress. It's like sleeping on a piece or plywood. It seems the hyper-elastic polymer wears out rather quickly.

I bought Purple after my daughter bought one and raved about it. I've now owned for 2 months and am very happy with it. My favorite thing is it has cut down on my night sweats! Any woman knows how hard it can be to stay comfortable all night. This has improved my quality of sleep! It took a few weeks to break in the mattress and the firmness is just right. Highly recommended! Just waiting on them to make full size beds so we can get them for our kids!

Our old mattress had started to sag and created a hammock like sway in our backs, even though it was only about 9 years old. After our 19" thick Beautyrest, the purple mattress was unexpectedly firm. There is nearly zero motion transference, no funky smells in the mattress, and it sleeps cool, unlike our temperpedic -topped previous mattress. My husband noticed an immediate difference in how his back felt. It took me about two weeks to get used to the new mattress, but I've loved it from the start. I love that even if I toss and turn, my husband can't feel it. I love that it can accommodate regular sized sheets instead of requiring extra deep pockets. I don't like jersey sheets though- so I'll have to go and get some cotton flat sheets and pair them with the jersey fitted sheets. I love that even when I sleep on my side, I don't get pressure points on my shoulder. Definitely worth the purchase.

I have 3 stars for the great price, super fast delivery and easy set up. However, comfort wise, I'd have to give it two stars. It's not as cooling as we were sold on. It holds my husbands body heat. We wake up hot. As far as comfort, I'm trying to hold out hope that my body adjusts to the bed in the recommended time frame. I wake up so sore and am barely sleeping. At this point, I'm waiting for the 21 day return period to return it. Such a bummer.

I had done a bunch of research on mattresses, and after hearing a friend rave about their new purple mattress I was intrigued. I finally took the plunge and purchased a queen size purple mattress for my new home. At first, when I plopped down on it I was surprised at how HARD it felt! Instant regret. I had always liked the softer feel of a mattress and I was worried I made a huge mistake. I decided to put worry aside and gave it a shot and wow...I'm in disbelief. I don't know what kind of voodoo they've baked into the mattress, but I have been waking up feeling amazing, no aches and pains that I had previously accepted were my new "normal" and part of getting older. What is even more exciting... is that I have been consistently sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT! Usually I wake up 2-3 times randomly, but since I've been sleeping on my purple I sleep until my alarm, it's insane. I'll never go back.

The Hybrid 4 was the perfect bed--utterly amazing technology that's perfect for a side sleeper, and perfect for a back sleeper. However, it was way too cold for me. We sleep with the thermostat at 65 degrees, and the bed is so breathable you're sleeping on a cold mattress. I don't know who all these people are who roast at night and require cooling mattresses, but I'm not one of them. I did everything to try and keep this mattress, from a heavy down comforter on top to a heavy down topper under me. More insulation on top of me didn't help--still a cold mattress. More insulation on top of the mattress meant all that Purple goodness disappeared, and it felt like any other bed. Very reluctantly, I exchanged the Hybrid 4 for a Purple Plus, which was still too cold and didn't have that amazing Purple feel. Maybe they'll offer an insulated version someday--and I'll be first in line.

We had a "memory foam" mattress prior to purchasing a purple. I'm usually a side sleeper so my shoulders and hips would ache every morning. I'd wake up feeling like I slept on a cement slate. Im 28 and I was trying to tell myself for the longest time that it was just me getting older. I finally had enough and ordered a purple because it seems the best overall for any sleeper. It came rolled up, so it was pretty easy to carry up to my NYC apartment. Once it fluffed up, which maybe took 3 minutes, I laid on it and nearly cried. It is so unbelievably comfortable. I would've paid twice as much as I did for it. I have never slept so well in my life. I also hit the jackpot because they had a promo where we could add on sheets for no additional charge. Holy Moly they are so soft and cool to the touch, so that comes in handy when you sleep next to a furnace person. Now my current issue is finding motivation to get out of bed every morning.

Even though I had to return my purple original mattress because I thought it was a little too firm for my body type since I am a side sleeper, the return process was flawless. Customer service always respond to your emails in a timely fashion. I am now considering purchasing the newer Purple 3 or 4 mattress since I believe will be much softer.

I bought this mattress due to the recommendation of a friend. My old mattress was giving me back issues and I couldn't sleep at night, eventually falling ill from it. I really love the mattress. It's so comfy! My only issue is that it sleeps kind of warm at night and I have yet to figure out how to remedy this. I've tried adjusting the air conditioner temperature, using the bamboo sheets, and switching out my comforter for a quilt but so far nothing's worked. Other than that I really like the mattress. Also, don't purchase this if you're a stomach sleeper as it can be murder on your back. It's good for side and back sleepers, though.

After watching about 30 or more unboxing and reviews of the purple mattress and others online I kept leaning on the Purple mattress even tho it was a higher price point than many competitors. But I was worried about a few things... first I was worried my husband wouldn't like the feel of the grid as we have always had pillow top mattresses. Found out it feels way more normal than we expected and almost has a massage like texture if you run you hand, arms, legs back and forth against it. Aka we love it. Secondly I out of habit sleep on the edge of the bed, but many reviews said their was no edge support. Eeek big concern. I didn't want to roll off the bed! Also found out it is not a problem and I find myself on the edge with no issues. Third I was afraid it would be "too firm". I was looking for a firm mattress for my back and hips, but also worried I'd pick something too extreme. Nope. Somehow they managed to make a firm mattress with give in the right places. Ahhh I've been sleeping great since night 1! Ps I am pregnant and I'm so much less achy!
