This mattress is the bees knees, I'm a side sleeper and the husband is a back sleeper and it works perfectly for both of us. I love not feeling my joints in the morning! We thought we were getting old before now we know it was just our mattress. It also doesn't transfer movement as much so we sleep without disturbing the other.

I kind of impulse bought the purple mattress after one too many nights waking up in pain because of my old mattress, and getting tired of it's sagging in the middle. I had known I wanted to get a new mattress for a while, but honestly I was too lazy to go out to the mattress store and look at multiple options like a real adult. Besides that, Purple is rated amongst the top mattresses available in most articles I have read, so why not? Also they say you can return it if you do not like it, but it was not clear to me how that would have worked... Anyways I love my Purple! Some people say it takes a while to get used to because they can feel the gel grid, but I don't find it to be that noticeable. Purple is kinda strange because it is firm and soft at the same time. You don't really get the squishy cuddly feel you get while laying on memory foam yet you still sink into it in all the right spots. I think it does feel cooler than laying on memory foam too. I currently have my Purple on the floor since I did not have a frame with slats, but i am looking forward to buying a bed platform with lots of storage to make up for not having a box spring.

We love our Purple mattress, and we appreciate your hard work in developing such a great product that plays such a big part of our lives. We both have seen improvement in our neck & back comfort and its only been a month. We'll highly recommend you to others.

These people absolutely cracked the formula! I have never slept better and never woke up with absolutely zero muscle pain. I am a very active person and I am used to muscle paid as I rise in the morning; apparently, it has nothing much to do with physical activity, rather the wrong mattress I was sleeping on... Worth every penny!

I have lower back issues and have been sleeping on a very soft and worn-out mattress for years, which seems to be making my back much worse in the last few months. I read that the purple mattress was good for alignment stuff, and I ordered the original purple - hoping it wouldn't be way too firm - since there no way I'm paying more than $1k more for a newer softer one. The mattress is firm. Definitely firm. I don't love laying down on it trying to go to sleep (I'm a side sleeper and it weirdly feels like I'm levitating on top of the bed rather than sinking into it, and it kind of hurts my shoulder), but I wake up with zero back pain. It really is great for backs. I will deal with a lack of comfiness at night to wake up comfy.

My husband and I can only compare it to the Leesa bed, which we also have. We both prefer the Leesa bed for the support it offers. The purple mattress is comfortable, but it's too soft in our opinion. I recently had a back injury, and the bed did not give me the support I needed, resulting in soreness when I awoke. The edge of the mattress is particularly soft. It is also an inch shorter in depth. After having the mattress for over a month, we will most likely return it or move it into a guest room. Delivery was delayed 2-3 weeks when we ordered, but set up was quick. The cover on the Leesa mattress is nicer than the Purple, also. Sadly, the purple mattress wasn't just right for us.

My family and I just moved back to the United States from living in Japan for 6 years, and it was coming on time to replace our mattress. Months before the move, I was dead set on replacing it with a Purple! Finally, a month after being in the States, we ordered it and decided to upgrade it to a King. After weeks of being on crappy hotel beds, air mattresses, futons, and various relative's beds, I couldn't wait and my back was ready for relief! The customer service representative I spoke to was fantastic and did everything he could to process the order as fast as possible so we can get a good nights sleep sooner. I took advantage of their bundle of the platform and mattress. After it shipped, I obsessively tracked it through FedEx during their tracking outage of 2017-look it up, it was a real tragedy! Finally, 9 days after I ordered it, the angels blew their trumpets and the chorus was singing as I unrolled the mattress. It was heavy, but I was able to set it up with my 10-year-old. We're still in the adjustment period, so my back does still ache, but I can tell it aches from realigning. I no longer wake up and sound like a Rice Krispy. The biggest thing worth mentioning is that when my husband puts his arms around me, I no longer feel like I'm being suffocated since the waffle-foam cradles our bodies. My FitBit even has proof of a more peaceful sleep. I relax so quickly in the Purple that bedtime reading is difficult now, cause I'm asleep within a few minutes-a strange phenomena this insomniac isn't used to. Unfortunately, with the upgrade in size, it's now more difficult to keep all the kids out of the bed, that and the fact that it's now the most comfortable bed in the house. We did have an issue putting together the platform. The additional pieces to extend to king size were misaligned and warped. We emailed the company and they sent out a new one ASAP with no questions asked. Besides the assembly issue, I love the platform and how high it is. I like not having to have a box spring, and it offers a lot of space for storage. Overall, I'm very happy with this investment and I'm equally as happy with the excellent customer service I've had as I am with the product. I will definitely be investing in the seat cushions and pillows soon!

Okay let me start with I have major regrets! I slept on the mattress for a week or two and my back was hurting. I read that there was an adjustment period but I totally jumped the gun. I contacted purple to return and ordered a different mattress. The return service was so nice, never second guessed me, and made me feel so comfortable. They then asked if I had a nonprofit or charity I could donate to. I was floored! THEN they allowed me to donate it to a teacher friend whose house just burned down. No questions asked! They said ABSOLUTELY give it to her and you will have a full refund! Like that is good people! Now to the regrets part. In the meantime my back fully got use to the purple mattress and I really LOVE it! But I already ordered a different mattress and told the house fire family about how amazing purple had been. So tonight, I write this review, on a different bad wishing I still had a purple 3 bed ha! Or maybe upgrade to a purple 4!

I have been tracking my sleep since Christmas when I got my fitbit. My old bed I would have restless nights of tossing and turning and awake moments throughout the night. I got the PURPLE Valentine's Day. My sleep tracker tells me I have restful nights every night with very little movement. I wake up now without the aching in my back, hip and arm. I love the PURPLE bed and would highly recommend it to everyone!

We had The Purple 3 for 3 weeks and really wanted to like it. It slept cool and I didn't wake up stiff, we just couldn't get used to the feel. To us it wasn't comfortable to lay on. We want a bed that hugs you when you get in and with a purple I felt like I was sleeping on top of the mattress and not in it. Have to say the return process through mattress firm has been great and with purple it was no risk.
