I have loved the whole "Purple Experience." It quickly made it to my house, which was fantastic. The mattress was super easy to get up my stairs and into my bedroom. That made setup a breeze. Ever since I've made the switch, I've been more rested and couldn't be happier than with my choice to go Purple.

Was a fast delivery, easy to set up. It immediately relieved shoulder pain my old matress caused. Experienced pain in hips for first 2 weeks but disappeared. Husband was concerned it was not firm enough at first but is adjusting. We have couple of months to decide whether to keep or not. So far we are adjusting well & thinking this is good investment.

I've had my Purple mattress for 2 months now and my husband and I sleep so much better! I can sleep in the same position all night without my hips and back hurting in the morning. Also, I literally sleep all night long without waking at all and if I do have to get up to use the restroom, I can fall back asleep instantly! The only bad thing is that I never want to leave my bed in the morning!

It's comfortable, but not really more comfortable than our old conventional spring mattress. Please come and pick it up. The free pillow? We haven't found a good use for it. Sorry. We had great hopes. Maybe these two 80 year old plus bodies are not sensitive enough to discern the finer offerings of The Purple.

I got the mattress because the commercials are incredible, reviews are terriffic, and customer service is good but I am still debating whether it's woth the price. It's a great bed, don't get me wrong, but it still gets hot (but the pillow sleeps cool all night) my back still hurts most days, and I keep waking up with neck pain. I think maybe the mattress/pillow combo aren't offering enough support. I just didn't want to go through the big return hassel...

I thought that I liked a soft bed, but had periodic back pain. The mattress I was sleeping on was harder than I would have preferred (after I got married, due to my husband's preference). I woke up often at night and wasn't rested. We decided to try purple. My first couple of nights I wasn't sure what I thought. I wanted it to be softer, but then I realized that I wasn't waking up anymore in the middle of the night, I wasn't waking up in pain and I was walking up rested. I'll never go back.

I'm really sorry to say that I am utterly disappointed with this mattress since I had such high hopes for it. Purchasing this mattress wasn't a heat of the moment, and I'm sure like everybody else, we did a lot of research and watched many mattresses comparison videos. At last, we went with Purple because of its reviews and unique technology, and we ended up purchasing the original one because it claims to have "medium-firm feel", which would've been great for me as a back-sleeper and for my bf who is a side-sleeper. Shipping was fast, so that is a plus. I literally rushed home with excitement after seeing that it had been delivered. After unrolling it, our first impression of the mattress is that it is very heavy and smaller or shorter in height than many mattresses out there. When we finally got to feel and lay on it, we tried every test we could and were surprised by its so-called "medium firm feel." It definitely does not feel like a medium firm to us. It felt soft. And when you lay on it, you can definitely feel the grid pattern, instead of a flat surface, so that will take some time adjusting. Even with these impressions, I still decided to give it a fair try. Before we went to sleep, my bf and I sat/laid on the bed as usual to use our phones. But just after about 5-10 minutes, I could already feel a lower-back sting/pain. My bf asked if we should switch back to our old mattress, but I insisted on giving it a fair try. And, I'm glad I did. Because now I am almost certain that I will be returning it after sharing my experience. Neither is my bf nor I am a picky sleeper. Because we travel a lot, we have slept in many different kinds of beds. Since I am lighter in weight, the Purple Original made me feel like I was floating on top of the mattress instead of sinking in for the back support. Maybe the firmness is considered "medium firm" in comparison to Purple's other mattresses, but I personally think it is misleading. My bf is normal in weight and initially thought the mattress would be great for him as a side-sleeper. But he changed his mind in the morning. When I woke up for work in the morning, I realized my bf wasn't sleeping next to me. Later, I found him in the living room because he said the mattress wasn't very comfortable. So, our conclusion is that Purple Original is not a mattress for us. And, please keep in mind that since Purple uses different technologies and materials for its mattresses, the definition of its firmness may be different and it may take some time to get used to it. My takeaway from this experience is that Purple sure does a great job on marketing retention and advertising their brand. We plan on doing a review video and we are still debating if we should give Purple 2 a try, given that is claims to be "firm".

I walked into the Mattress Firm near me in Memphis, having already picked out a memory foam mattress, when I tried the Purple 4 in the store. I'm a side sleeper with hip bursitis that often keeps me awake. But not on this mattress. I love that you don't sink down into it, I love how cool it sleeps, and I love the lack of motion transfer. I wasn't looking to spend this much, but I'm so glad I did. I'm a convert!

We LOVED our purple mattress at first and it was the answer to a good nights sleep. It did everything it promised to do. But now that we have had it for 6 months both my husband and I are waking up With the WORST back pain and body aches we have ever had. We actually can't get through a full nights sleep without waking up to aches and pains that keep us up. We have changed nothing in our routine or sleeping habits that would attribute to this other than the mattress. I am very aware that it is the mattress specifically because I travel for work and sleep on hotel beds that I wake up from and feel 10 times better (which should NOT be the case). My sore back actually goes away when I travel and comes back when I come home and sleep on the purple mattress. We feel like we have gotten scammed or at the very least bought too prematurely and should have let the company figure out the kinks before investing in their product. We are so uncomfortable and filled with so many aches and pains that we are going to have to purchase a new mattress after just 6 months, what a waste of ~$1200. With being such a new on the market product they should have given more than 101 day guarantee, understanding that there are tons of unknowns since the product hasn't been used by the general public yet. I really wanted to like this mattress. I love the science and ingenutiy that was implemented with it! It's lighter than most mattresses on the market. Plus, there was no transfer of motion when me or my girlfriend shifted our weight. However, I was dissatisfied with my experience of it. Most times, l would feel pain and discomfort in either my shoulders, hips, or neck when I awoke. For me, this problem outweighed the positive features of the Purple mattress. So, I returned it (Thanks for an easy return process, Purple). Although the Purple mattress did not satisfy me, I think it would be a fair solution for some sleepers. This mattress is revolutionary compared to the traditional mattress. Purple actually considered criticisms, suggestions, and issues that people have in reference to their sleep or lack thereof. I appreciate the extensive amount of research Purple has invested in sleep comfort. I'll probably reconsider and try their hybrid mattress if I can't settle on a different brand.
