Honestly, the ads are correct. It's pretty impressive, but the purple material really does collapse where you need it to, to provide cushioning and softness to eliminate pressure points and pain, while still remaining supportive everywhere else. Side, stomach, or back sleeping are significantly more comfortable than my foam mattress was. I can lay down on my back, without a pillow, and my low back, knees, and neck feel supported. I've never felt that from a mattress before. Would definitely recommend (actually, I have recommended it numerous times already).

I love the feel and support, but I also feel like I bottom out the hyper-elastic polymer stuff and the foam beneath is too firm. Maybe 6'2", 200 lbs is too much for the purple. I was super excited to try it out as I wanted something a "softer" than our Sapira, and it is for the top 3 inches, after that it's too firm.

I have always been a pro-sleeper. A solid 8-10 hours a night kinda gal. Now that I have my Purple mattress I consider myself an master of sleep. No back, neck, or shoulder pain. No heat, sweating, or discomfort. If you want your sleep to go from good to great, this is the bed for you. I could fall asleep face-down and still wake up feeling refreshed with no aches and pains.

I don't know how much time I'd spend trying to find something that could work for my back pain, I tried anything buying different kinds of Mattresses and nothing seemed to work, the lack of sleep was really affecting my life, until I heard about Purple, I wasn't sure at the beginning, I was tired of buying Mattresses and not seeing the results I was expecting. My back problem got worse, until I decided to give it a try.. and seriously so glad I did, it has been the best experience I've ever had. 3 months with my PURPLE bed and my back problems have disappear completely I wake up refreshed and full of energy something I've never experienced before with my other mattresses. I definitely recommend this bed to all the people that been struggling to find something new that other Mattresses can't accomplish. Thanks Purple

My husband and I are SOOO happy with our purple bed. We sleep well, have no aches and pains like we used to have, don't disturb each other with movements (even though we downsized from king to queen due to a smaller house), and are so comfy. We loved that it was shipped right to our home too. My kids are so jealous and can't wait until they start making a full size! Plus, since we bought the mattress and bed frame they threw a comfy seat cushion too! So fun!

Demographics: 5'11 200+ lbs male, back and stomach sleeper Unfortunately, this mattress was not life changing as I was hoping (thus the 4 stars - truly 4.5 stars). However, I did notice an immediately difference in the amount of back pain I would wake up with. I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone. It's quiet bouncy/reactive but still supportive. I cannot attest to he coolness of the mattress because I bought it during the fall/winter time. Regardless, this mattress is a huge upgrade in quality, support, and size compared to my previous mattress. Have also purchased the mattress protector and my girlfriend is considering purchasing the pillows as well.

We received our base first, which ended up being damaged (not sure if that was a FedEx issue or not), and the Purple folks gladly sent a replacement. Unfortunately that replacement was lost in the world of FedEx, so our Purple sat in its bag on our bedroom floor for two weeks before we finally received the replacement platform. The customer service folks at Purple were great. And now that we have slept on the Purple for a little over a week I can say my husband and I love it, and no longer wake up with aching backs. But, we did not like how low the platform base sits, nor the legs on the platform base, as we stubbed our toes on them repeatedly until I wrapped them in fabric. We built an additional wooden platform to sit atop the metal platform base from Purple, and now the height of the bed is perfect.

Going to bed early is a treat because this mattress is so comfortable! I'm a side sleeper and my shoulders used to fall asleep but not with our new Purple mattress. My husband is a "hot sleeper" but this mattress keeps him cool all night. Totally happy!

The mattress is super comfy. I don't remember the last time I slept a whole night without waking up but I do it regularly with this mattress. It came with a set of sheets that ripped within the first week of use. They are soft but are basically very expensive Jersey sheets. They are stretchy and tend to ball up easily. I also purchased the mattress protector. It's very thin and quiet and although I haven't spilled anything on it, it has good reviews and is barely noticeable. Overall I'm thoroughly enjoying the mattress. Wish the sheets lived up to the hype though.

My husband really wanted a purple mattress after trying his friends one. I finally caved and bought us two actually. Twin XLs so we can have a split adjust base. He loves his. I bought the original since that's the one his friends have and was somewhat underwhelmed. It's not a thich mattress and feels rather thin. I'm probably saying this because we had a serta mattress before that was double the thickness. The first few nights for me were rough. I have severe back issues and it was not comfortable. After night 4 it got much better, however for me I can only sleep on my back. If I try and sleep on my side with the mattress it hurts at my hips and I have to put a pillow between my knees to get comfortable. My great dane service dog immediately fell in love with the mattress and wouldn't get off, so we bought her one too.
