I am a side sleeper. My hips consistently hurt me in my old bed with foam topper. I would constantly have to roll from one hip to the other. Now with the purple mattress that has cut down my having to roll over times. I have had the mattress for about a month. And it is not hot like my old mattress either.

What I ordered: The New Purple Mattress - Queen / Purple.3 When: Oct. 2018 Age group: 20-30 (I add this due to how this mattress makes me feel older than I am.) Weight Class: 150-200 lbs ***Disclaimer: I do not know how much the mattress has changed since 2018 with the newer models, but I still have a bias due to this one and personally would not recommend.*** I have owned a Purple Mattress since October of 2018, and when I first slept on it it was strange, but in a good way. However, after almost two years the Purple mattress has actually become worse to sleep on. Which is a first for me, I have never owned a mattress that got worse to sleep on the longer you own it. When I ordered my mattress I knew a few people who also owned Purple, and said they loved it, so my husband and I bought the newest model at the time with a medium hardness level of 3 since I knew I liked harder mattresses but my husband preferred softer ones. Thought the compromise would be fine, but didn't even know how the mattress would feel anyway. I wanted to get a purple since the commercials were very good at selling it, and saw that it was good for your back from multiple claims and articles or something along those lines. I've had a bad back for a while and decided that if so many people were praising it it should be worth 2k$. At this point I would like to say, I strongly disagree with those statements and many others who claim it with the mattress I have. - Good for your back: No. I have a bad back due to my work, and preferred being a back sleeper since it reduced the twist on my spine. At first the mattress was pretty good with my back. My back wouldn't be that sore like it was from my previous mattress. At this point now, unfortunately, the mattress hurts my back every morning. It is sore every time I wake up and I feel less and less comfortable sleeping or lying on my back. I currently am a side sleeper on the bed, but even then my back is very uncomfortable. - Keeps you cool: Yes and strongly no. This bed is great at being cool when you first get into bed, so much so that I actually shiver because of how cool it is. Great for the summer when it is like that for the first few hours. But after a while the material in the bed becomes VERY GOOD at retaining your body heat. The mattress becomes uncomfortable for me and my husband because it just retains so much of our body heat. We even sleep with our own comforters to reduce any shared body heat, but that doesn't help much. When I was a back sleeper I would wake up every night with my back feeling very hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. Those are the big two, but I would like to add other things I don't like about my model. 1. It is a big and bulky bed that is very difficult to move compared to a traditional bed. It is also heavy because of the material. Due to this it is hard to change the sheets on it because it flops and moves with little structure. Sometimes we have to two man changing the sheets so it's easier to put the new sheets on. To be fair we don't use a box spring for the bed, but the bed is pretty tall. When we moved we had to get a dolly and buy tie down ropes, making the mattress into a hot dog with help of friends, to keep it from slipping and sliding everywhere due to there being no grip to move like a traditional bed. 2. Our model can't really be flipped. I know there are some articles out there that say something about flipping this bed and how often. This bed is not a great flipping bed. It is too big and bulky like the previous statement states. Maybe if you had a mattress small than a Queen that would work. 3. At this time, the bed has gotten progressively uncomfortable. There were times I thought that the mattress just needed time to adjust. Well almost two years later and it does not need to adjust. The squishy grid is not that novel to sleep on anymore. It feels like it has gotten stiffer and ridged, and that I should be comprised of less polygons to enjoy it. I feel the squares all the time when I lie down, and it makes me wonder what I thought sleeping on multiple tiny squares was actually going to do for me. The squares even get at my hips and knees too. There are times where I would wake up and my legs will feel achy and my hips will be sore. This bed doesn't solve the comfort level of tossing and turning, it just changes the formula of why you toss and turn. Overall, just get another normal bed. This company has great commercials, their sales pitch is on point, but the bed is not as revolutionary as you would hope. I spent roughly over 2,000$ and at this point I am pretty sad that I did. I am not getting rid of it because I need my money's worth out of this bed with all the discomfort that I get out of it. If I had to do it again I would have gone with another company or gone to a mattress store and actually laid down on their mattresses since you never know with how it will turn out if you buy online.

I LOVE my Purple bed! I have been getting THE best sleep in as long as I can remember! However, I usually sit on my bed & fold laundry, do my child's hair in the mornings &sometimes go through mail/read... the bed was not designed for sitting. It gets quite uncomfortable for my back.

Our son recommended the Purple mattress having purchased one himself. I recently had spinal fusion surgery and was reticent; however, I took the plunge. The mattress is FABULOUS! In fact, my husband and I left on a road trip after sleeping on it for only 10 days and both of us wanted to roll it up and take it with us! That's serious attachment! I've recommended the mattress to two others who are in the process of purchasing their own. Am hoping for a commission or a free pillow, as is my son! We love this product!

I'm 6'1" and 280lbs. I was very concerned buying this mattress as all the reviews seem to be from 180 guys. We had tried a Serta pillow topper and hated it..and switched to a tuft N needle, which we liked at first but soon after realized neither of us were sleeping the way we wanted to be.. worlds better than coils, but not amazing sleep. So we purchased the purple in a king size. I am 100% happy. I wake up and my back doesn't hurt.. I don't wake up 3-4 times a night to change position. I'm very happy with this mattress. I did not give it a 5 star because my wife isn't 100% happy with it. After 20 years of being in gymnastics, and playing college softball and carrying our first child who was 10lbs at birth, her back pain hasn't diminished as much as we hoped. We still might send the mattress back because of this. That being said. We still both agree the purple is the best mattress out of the ones we have tried. And we are going to give it the full 100 day trial before deciding

We have tried lots of different mattresses over the years--innerspring, water bed, back to innerspring, then to sleep number. We loved the sleep number until I had my back fused and I just couldn't find a setting that let me rest. I would wake with my back stiff or my neck stiff. Our doctor suggested that we might get relief with a Purple Mattress. We ordered one that day and when it came we rolled it our on our box springs (should be called board springs) and within a minute it had regained its' original loft. I climbed in the first night with a little skepticism thinking "it will take a few nights" to get used to this new mattress-----not so. From the first night I slept like a 7 yr old. It has been wonderful! I'm 6'2" 210 lbs and my wife is 5 feet and heavy. We both love this Purple Mattress. I would recommend one to anyone that really enjoys calm quiet sleep. I'm looking forward to a "Purple Pillow". I just bought a "My Pillow" and it works well, no more stiff back and painful neck. Go for it, you will be glad you did. from Idaho Falls

Our dear friends recommended Purple mattress and we were excited to order as Thanksgiving gift for us to replace our 15+-year-old mattress. It took a week to arrive. On the tracking massage, it was supposed to arrive in the PM, but it arrived early in the morning at 8:30 am right after we left the house for a day trip. We had to ask our neighbor to keep an eye for us. To our surprise, it said Queen size and my name on the outside label. After we carried it from the basement level to the 2nd-floor bedroom and opened it, it turned out to be a King size mattress! It took another week for the replacement order to be issued and another week to get the right size mattress while waiting for the wrong-sized mattress to be picked up. A complimentary mattress protector was ordered when we initially contacted the customer care, but it took a month to arrive. I contacted the customer care during the wait because I never received tracking information, and was told it was never shipped. I asked for an explanation but was told nothing. We have seen a lot of Purple commercials on YouTube and web browsers. Honestly, the mattress was not that impressive and the customer service was very unprofessional and untimely. We will not recommend to anyone!

My journey with Purple started the seat cushions a few years ago. I purchased them for my parents for their computer chairs and they love them!! My next purchase was a mattress and frame for me and my husband, and our love of purple was immediate! Unfortunately, our kids also loved our super comfy bed...... I saw the pillows and bought them, (yes, I realize I own a LOT of products now) they provide good support for our achy necks, (I like to put them under a regular pillow). And now finally, our children have gotten to the point of needing new mattresses, so our natural choice was the Purple!!! They love their beds as much as we do! The frames allow for storage underneath, and we also have the mattress protectors that keep the mattresses looking new. My bed is about 2 years old and comparing my bed to our kids new ones.... well, you can't feel a difference, Honestly! These products are all super cool, and provide our whole family comfort that will last for years to come!

I used to wake up with sore hips and back EVERY DAY. I got my new purple mattress and after a week my pain was nearly gone. Unfortunately I had a house fire shortly after and have had to put my mattress in storage until my home is repaired. I am not happy about sleeping on anything else. It's been about a week and a half of sleeping on a regular mattress again and my hip pain is starting to return. I can't wait til I can get back on my purple mattress!! I almost miss it more than my house!!!

What an awesome mattress, best sleep I have had in twenty five years! I would recommend Purple to all. Love my Purple Pillow as well. Just Fantastic throughout, purchase, shipping, placement, and best of all lying down for a rest filled, dream filled, 8 hours!
