I'm giving purple 5 stars even though I was unable to keep the mattress, please read to understand the decision. Why I'm trying to find a mattress the short version: Uninsured driver cause a wreck, 40ft drop upside down resulting in being crush in the vehicle, resulted in damage to c5-c6, l2-l5, removal of 80 percent of right rotator cuff, left rotator also damaged. I have been taking prednisone to sleep which is sort of oxymoron but the pain I experience in both shoulders keeps me up. Prednisone is the only thing that keeps the inflammation at a manageable level. Reason for not keeping: -Still to firm and shoulder pain did not diminish. Pros: - I enjoyed the back support and neck support, no increase in discomfort. - Sleeps very cool as I keep the room temp at 62. - Easy transitions - I have a lot of trouble getting to sleeping but the purple matrix did not bother me at all. - Fantastic Customer Support - Fantastic Communication before purchase after after purchase. - Super easy return assistance and great many options for doing so. Even though I did not keep the mattress, I feel like I'm your worst case scenario for a customer. I feel the 5 star is warranted as it was cool, I liked the back support but for some reason I toss and turn and many times wake up on my side. The purple support team was exceptional which is a rare find in businesses these days. I hope to be able to save up and try the purple 3 or 4 but worry over what I would need and worry about costing purple more money if I choose wrong. Due to the wreck and loss of two business my credit is not to great and the financing it steep at 29% but that is not the fault of purple. I would have called and talked to them about the purple 3 or 4 purchase but I will have to save up for that. Thank you Purple

We bought one of the first purple mattresses 6 years ago and have loved it!! It did get a depression in it before the 10 year warranty was up. But Purple replaced it, except we opted to just pay the difference for an upgrade and again, we love it!! We sleep great because we are supported where we need it!! Purple mattress has great customer service every step of the way!! Thanks Purple!!

GO WATCH THE PURPLE EGG TEST! We looked at a few different new mattress companies like Lull, nest, etc. But, honestly none of them are made the way a purple mattress is made. The other mattresses are really just foam on foam. A purple mattress literally conforms to you, but you don't just sink... it supports your important points.

Well, my wife seems to have adjusted to our purple mattress fairly well. Me on the other hand, 58 days into it, have not. I feel it's too firm for me and seems to have a lot of "push back" on my body. In fact my calves and thigh muscles ache from laying on it over night. And that's pretty consistent night to night. I don't see any relief or adjustment occurring, sorry to say. We do sleep differently; I sleep on my back, a lot, she sleeps on her stomach. So that might be a reason we are experiencing the purple differently. I do wish the purple was less firm and maybe "softer". I will say that there have been times when I didn't notice my wife got up. It's remarkable how little motion is felt across that mattress. jph

I was a little worried about purchasing this mattress because of the price, but I really wanted to upgrade my mattress and go with a king size. I went back and forth between this one and a much less expensive brand, but in the end I went with the purple and I'm so glad that I did! It came quickly and it provides a really great nights sleep. I'm even hoping that my husband will surprise me with the purple pillow for Christmas. :)

I gave a great summary aboveThis purple mattress is the 2nd one I purchased. I sleep on 1 every night and sometimes day. I am 75 years old and I could not sleep for the pain before I got this mattress. This one is for the company coming to see me this summer. I will give them a sales pitch. thank I hope this is as good as the one I use night and some days

For years, I've been struggling with back issues, insomnia, and joint problems. When I decided to get a Purple, I was cautiously optimistic - and I have been rewarded with the first full night's sleep I've had in a decade. It's not every night, but I am definitely resting better and catching up on long term sleep debt. The kids love to come snuggle, the dog loves it, we all love this bed and what it's done for us. Real sleep makes such a difference in everything. The ONLY complaint I've heard is that my husband struggles from time to time with the way the mattress levers his legs - unless he's weighing them down, his feet don't even touch the sheets. I have had to adjust my positioning habits as well, from years of overcompensation to handle a not-great mattress. It takes time to adjust, for sure, but it's worth it!

Spending almost half a year in hotels annually, I sleep on all sorts. Purple is up there with some of the more comfortable. Sleep comes fast and easy, but if you could find some other place for the cats to sleep that would be awesome! Otherwise, it's well worth the money and much lighter than my 175# tempurpedic, 1/3rd the price and much more comfortable. Hopefully I won't be making a dent in this one line the last 3 mattresses, including the big T.

So we tried the purple hype and was extremely disappointed. Wife hated the purple mattress as did I. We both woke up with terrible back and shoulder pain and would get up more tired then when we went to bed. Tossed and turned all night long. Returned the purple mattress. Going to keep looking and trying other mattresses.

We LOVE the bed!! When we first got it all set up my husband's first response was "Nope, I don't like it" And then we slept on it and we are SOLD!!! It took a few days to get used to it because its so different from any other that we have had. We both feel like we are weightless. We cant feel exactly when our body is touching the bed. I went to the beach about 6 weeks after getting our bed and I was sooooo happy to get back to my purple!!! And let me tell you...SEX IS BETTER ON A PURPLE!!! We don't sink into the bed, there are no springs so it is just us moving. LOVE IT!!! We did the egg test several times!! We are telling everybody about it and even showing them the egg test. I am really impressed that other peoples movement cannot be felt. We can both get out of bed without waking the other. AND my grandbaby was asleep on the bed and I tried to climb out of the bed slowly (like you have to on old style mattresses) and I didn't need to do it slow! I just got up normally because it wasn't moving the baby at ALL!!! Y'all need to make baby bed sizes!!
