I realize it's a lot of hassle and costly to ship these mattresses, but shipping via FedEx and the packaging is the worst part of the experience. If you live alone and cannot stand on end an oddly shaped 120 pound (?) cylindrically packaged object, then bear hug and lift...you are going to need help. I have ordered two mattresses (the OG purple was too soft so I exchanged for the Hybrid) and FedEx has sent either the most out of shape driver who will refuse to bring the mattress to your porch (the first time) or the youngest, lankiest driver who will refuse to help carry the mattress inside for you (the second time) so that, at the very least, it's not sitting outside in the weather. I am a 145 lb 5'5" female and I am grateful to have just enough strength to be able carry these into my house and up a flight of stairs on my own. Yes, I asked customer service what the weight was and if I could get some help. I was told they could put in a request but it's not likely. I would recommend the mattress but I think shipping and packaging could use some work.

That is a change. I have tried the name brand memory foam, and name brand firm conventional mattress. Without question my back feels better and my sleep is more restful on Purple. I am 6' 3" and 215 pounds, for reference purposes. Or should I say Purpleses? Sorry.

I was very excited when I first purchased this mattress......until I tried it. To be fair, shipping was fast and the mattress was in my price range but after sleeping on it for awhile trying to give it a chance, I called within the 100 days and was told that I didn't qualify for the 100 day free trial because I financed through a company called Affirm, (which is on their website as a payment option). The mattress is like a brick, even now over a year later. I tried calling and asking if I could upgrade to the newest model that has 3 or 4 inches of foam on top and and they could take this 1 back and was told no, not without paying full price. They also told me when I called back that they had no record of me calling within the 100 days so watch out for that as well. I don't know how the new mattresses compare to the original but I'd advise against purchasing the original Purple mattress. I will continue to post negative reviews about my experience with this company I have had no good experiences with either the mattress or the customer service of this company.

I personally don't get the hype of the purple mattress. I am on my 2nd one due to my first one being defective and filing a warranty claim. I will say they were great about sending me a new mattress but now that I've had the new one for 2ish weeks I'm not loving it. My back is still killing me no matter what position I sleep on. I've tried on my back, left side, right side and even attempted my stomach for part of the night last night. I would recommend trying a different brand however I personally have tried many different mattresses and feel like they all suck eventually. A friend bought both tuft and needle and purple the same time and split nights on each one and ultimately kept the tuft and needle and sent back the purple so I may go that route as well

We love it so much, we are planning on getting one for each of our children's homes so we have a comfortable place to sleep when we visit our grandchildren. The only problem is we may have to buy 2, since the parents may invoke eminent domain & claim the 1st as theirs.

My husband and I decieded to upgrade to a KING and go with purple. He's 24 and I'm 23 and we would wake up a little sore from our bed. Since we went with PURPLE, the game has changed! WE LOVE IT! It's literally perfect. You are not too soft or too hard. This bed is AMAZING! We were hesitant because of the price but we definitely understand as to why. The packaging was great! My free pillow was okay and they give you a free purple cutter to get your mattress out stress free. We couldn't be more impressed or happy Purple!

Never have i felt or slept on a bed more comfortable and supportive than the purple. I look forward to seeing my bed at night. I fall asleep quick and stay asleep all night. The sleep is so solid it feels like i wake up 10 minutes after falling asleep. This is a amazing mattress. Must buy and never need another one.

After spending fifteen years sleeping on a very soft pillow-top mattress, the Purple mattress has been a pretty drastic change. After a few weeks, my wife and I are not yet blown away by the Purple mattress. While feel like it cradles and supports well, we miss the soft feel of our previous bed.

I struggles with hip and back pain for years. I tossed and turned every night and often woke up as tired as when I went to bed. That all changed with my Purple mattress. After the very first night, my wife and I both woke up rested, and commented that we hadn't changed position all night. We have had our Purple for several weeks now, and are so glad we made the switch. Also, the customer service is top notch.

I heard great things about the Purple mattress. I was off to a rough start as it was packaged seemingly backwards (cutting took was wrapped up in the middle of the mattress and it unrolled grey side up instead of grey side down). When I first laid on it I was shocked at how firm it was and was unsure if I would be able to sleep on it! I am a side sleeper and it hurt my shoulder. I read a little into it and discovered that if you are under 150lbs this mattress will be firm. I am under 150lbs. The best part about this mattress is that it truly does keep you perfectly cool all night long! I no longer sweat or have to turn the AC down super low. It has taken me about a month to get used to it but I do like it. I wouldn't say it's the best mattress I have ever slept on but then again I haven't found another one much better.
