Great printer for price. Photos print beautifully

Clean this thing and align it all you want 8 out of 10 times it will print splotchy. I use their expensive ink and it still needs to be cleaned multiple times everytime I go to print. I print more pages cleaning this junk than on actual projects.

Day 1 , so far so good. Easy to set up. Double side print works great. There is an added paper cartridge for 4x6 and 5x7 photo paper and the quality is good for a home printer!

I purchased this unit a couple of weeks ago and am taking it back today. It is a piece of junk, will not print pictures any where close to the correct color. always says out of paper, so slow i can take a nap while waiting for it to do something. I had my son who is very good at things like this. he could not get this thing to work properly either. He has been setting up systems for years. I would not have this hp 7858 printer in my house.

So far this has been an excellent printer. Some have complained about this one was difficult to set up, however the only thing I can think of that may have made people make that comment was, that it did take a while for it to update its firmware. Be patient let it update and the rest is EASY!

Just bought this printer and could not connect to it from my computer. Downloaded the software but it would not connect. I did a remote connection with HP support and they had me up and running in about 15 minutes. They said it was a driver issue. Printer is fast for printing text. I would recommend this printer. I use it in my motor home when on trips.

Clearly someone at the return desk didnt do their job. Bought this for my home and open it up to find the ink cartridges already opened, inside the machine, mostly used and whatever was left over was dried. Then the machine tried to tell me it was no longer open to automatic updates. Also this one appears to be an older model? Someone clearly bought a new one and returned an older one and got their money back for the new one. Upset, but i want the printer so returning this one tomorrow to exchange it.

I set this printer up on s Friday, no issues getting it working even from my phone. However, after printing a few pages in color per day Friday, Saturday and Sunday (no more than 40 pages) I got a "low ink" notification. Unfortunately I am located outside of the USA and it would not be worth it to send it back

I bought this printer to replace an HP printer that worked fine. Installation took forever. The printer however won't print properly. It won't align. I've tried cleaning the cartridges and nothing works. Everything prints with a line on the side and the colors look weird. I cannot send back because the printer was purchased for use in the Caribbean. Dont buy.

Didn't even last 2 years. First started making grinding noises. Then started having issues with getting a blue screen and everything blinking. Turned off back on works for a little bit and repeats issue. Now black won't print at all even after trying different hp cartridges. Tried cleaning and and aligning them nothing.
