I believe that the purple mattress is comfortable laying on but when waking up in the morning my back tends be to sore. I tried laying in the basic model at a store so I could see if I'd like it in person and I loved it. I went home and ordered a basic model in king size. Once I got it home it felt significantly more firm. I went back to the store to see if it was a different model but it wasn't, it was just a queen size. So I don't know if size would have a difference on how firm each mattress is, but I can say that the large basic model is more firm than the queen size basic model.

I was really excited to order my purple bed! I've been trying to give it some time thinking I just need to adjust. But, I've been waking up with some incredible neck and upper back pain! To be fair, I think it's my pillows. I've been trying to figure out how to arrange them to make my sleep less painful. But, so far I have not been successful. I think I'm going to try sleeping without a pillow and see if that helps. I don't know if it's the bed's fault or not. I'm really trying to give it every opportunity! Customer service has been amazing though. Which is probably why I'm trying to love the bed so much.

After a month of my back adjusting. The purple mattress is great. I had no issues while sleeping on the mattress during the breakin period only during daily activities. I like the mattress and will keep it. I do recommend anyone who had difficulties sleeping to try this mattress. I'm looking forward to the purple pillow release.

My husband has awful night sweats and often soaks the bed at night - which is absolutely delightful as you might imagine. So when the time came to buy a new mattress I was looking for something that was cooling/temperature neutral. After comparing this mattress and some other brands (google independent mattress reviews), I decided to give Purple a try. At first, I was a skeptic. A mattress is a huge investment with huge implications for our sleep and general quality of life - and I'd never heard of the tech that powers these mattresses. But let me tell you ... so good. I used to enforce a strict barrier during sleep time to keep my hot and sweaty hubby away from me, but we've been spooning like there's no tomorrow since getting this mattress and no over heating! The mattress takes the heat away from us so that we can love on each other comfortably. We also bought moisture wicking sheets to make sure that we'd sleep comfortably. The mattress is softer than I thought it would be, though - which I worried would be a problem. But, turns out, it conforms to our every curve and is super comfy. We've been sleeping great. The only cons are that it's so soft that it verges on being hard to escape. Like you have to make a real effort to roll out of this bed. And it weighs a ton. You'll definitely need another set of hands to get it on your bed frame.

Bought the original queen definitely worth the money. Not so soft where I sink in but not too firm. Was looking for a firm mattress before( I wiegh about 110lbs) but this perfect. It wasnt firm but very supportive. Definitely feels diffrent from those traditional matresess. BUY IT

I have bone cancer and this mattress has made my sleeping wonderful. I am both a back and side sleeper and of course, I sleep on my right side and that is the side that I have bone cancer in my hip; I can now sleep comfortably on the side, what a blessing. I am not wild about the massage feature but I will use it on my legs at times, it distracts from any pain I have there.

The items I orders are great the only issue I have is the order they came. The mattress isn't light and that came first before my platform. So I installed mattress then had to remove and install platform. That wasn't fun at all. But all in the products are great.

My husband and I were both waking up with pain--his back and hips, my lower back. After just one night on our Purple, we both woke up with significantly less pain, and now, three weeks in, the pain is gone! We stayed in a hotel for Thanksgiving and really missed our Purple--hubby didn't sleep at all, he was so uncomfortable. We were very happy to get back home to our own bed!

I was reluctant about buying this bed.. I mean it comes in the mail... I couldn't test it out.. This was the BEST decision I made. I no longer wake up with sore back or headaches. My husband who had insomnia now sleeps through the night.. Who would of thought a mattress could do all this.. THANK YOU PURPLE!

I love my new mattress - it's really really comfortable. It made me realise I needed more supportive pillows as well. My experience with Purple was really good. The only thing I would suggest would be, to have a system in place that lets your buyers track where they are in the queue. I don't mind waiting 4 weeks for an incredible mattress but deserve better communication on the "when" part. :)
