I've had the mattress for about a year now and kept thinking that I needed to break it in for a while for it to feel right... That was the worst mistake i've ever made. If you like the feeling of sleeping on concrete then this is the mattress for you. There is absolutely nothing proprietary or revolutionary about this technology. It seems the company used all of their investment on fancy marketing techniques and very little in the material used for their products. The mattress does NOT conform to your entire body. I am 24 years old and my lower back is in pain every time I wake up from a nights sleep. It seems like the company cut corners and tried to save as much capital as they could by using the cheapest materials they could find and then simply used common marketing tricks such as comedy where comedy is not necessary in this situation considering the fact that it's a mattress. Extremely disappointed with my purchase and now I'm stuck with this thing.

After quite a bit of research, we decided to dive in and go for the purple mattress. I was disappointed that the "new" purple was so much more expensive than when we first started shopping for one. But having a good, pain free nights sleep was important for me, so we took the plunge. I chose the purple 3 since it seemed like the best option for couples and different sleeping positions. Maybe this is okay for a back sleeper, but I am a side sleeper and I have never been in so much pain before. My hips hurt the worse. They dont feel cradled at all. I've never had hip or shoulder pain before, now, I wake up hurting every morning.

Purchased my Purple in the beginning of January, was delivered to my door about 3 weeks from purchase date. I feel like this was reasonable for delivery, although I did have to interact with Purple for a delivery date. Purple was excellent to deal with and their team seemed to care about my needs. If anything I would suggest that Purple as a company figure out how to shorten lead times on all of their products to insure happy, fulfilled customers. I would probably order more of their goods if I did not have to wait weeks for a set of stretchy bed sheets! Now, when it comes to the mattress, I am very pleased. It took almost a week for my wife and I to adjust our sleep habits to get maximum results. I used to be a front sleeper, but I find that now I am more of a back sleeper, which I believe is better for my back. I weigh 155 lbs and I feel like maybe that my body does not engage the mattress as much as someone who may weigh closer to 200 lbs. My wife who is lighter then me, also took several days to get comfortable, is now happy with the purchase. Our previous mattress was a plush pillow top that was at the end of its life, so for us its been a big transition, but ultimately I am happy with the purchase. Thank you Purple!

Love, love, love our new Purple mattress! My husband and I had both been waking up achy and out of sorts after not sleeping well on our old mattress. But we had put off purchasing a new one because there were just so many choices and so many of them were SO expensive. After falling for the videos and reading all of the positive reviews (not to mention a great price) we ordered our Purple. We've had it for approximately two months and I have to say, we have slept better in that two months than I think we have in years! The only thing I will say is that they recommend stretchy sheets - we ordered a very overpriced set of sheets and I find them more annoying than the regular sheets we rotate with.

While I think the mattress is okay, the customer service has been terrible. Their only response to any of my contact has been to explain how I can return my mattress if I'm not happy. Nobody has wanted to take time to discuss my issues. Now, I fear I have to decide if the mattress is good enough to keep, wondering if the customer service would continue to be so neglectful. I will probably go another way.

Great matress. Delivery and set up were a breeze (although I did need someone else to help me carry it up the stairs). I've been sleeping on it about a month and have definitely noticed a decrease in lower back pain which I believe was caused by my previous mattress beginning to dip. Laying on it give me a good combination of support and softness. Can't wait to see how it holds up over time. Definitely worth the price.

When I initially purchased the Purple 4 mattress I found it to be mostly comfortable, though probably not anymore than the average memory foam. After a couple months I started to wake up with neck and back soreness. As I had been using the mattress for more than the 21 day adjustment period they claim I attributed it to my pillow. I have since purchased many different pillows with no relief. I recently stayed at a hotel where I brought my own pillow to test the theory and for the first time in weeks woke up without any pain. This leads me to believe it is definitely the mattress causing my pain. Unfortunately I am outside of the 100 day return period and will not be allowed to return. This mattress is extremely overpriced for the comfort level it provides.

My wife's had severe back problems resulting from a car accident and was looking for a bed that would help alleviate some of the aching pain in the morning. We settled on trying out a Purple mattress after her parents ordered theirs and loved it. The trial period was a purchasing factor because of it didn't work for us we could return it. The delivery was super awesome as we received automated updates on the delivery day of both the bed and the platform. We received our mattress about two weeks before the platform and I would say that was a bit of a headache but once we paired the mattress with the platform it's a distant memory that they didn't come together and we don't even care anymore. Cloud 9. That's how I describe sleeping on this mattress. It's so comfortable! We don't sink into it, we are comfortably suspended in it and it's really amazing! My wife loves the fact that she's not bounced around when I get up at 2:30 am for work or for a bathroom break. The platform is VERY sturdy and makes no noise no matter what kind of shenanigans we engage in *wink*wink We love our king-sized Purple mattress and platform and have no intention of returning it. Ever. In closing I would like to add that initially I took issue with the price as I'd never paid more than $300 for a box spring and mattress combo. The comfort and rest we've experienced with this is worth every penny we paid for it!

We have the mattress (the medium thick version) since a few days and I can already say that this is a very nice treat for the body. The first night it was hard o fall asleep sicne it was so different but the following night and since then I slept like a baby. My husband too had a night of adjustment but last night slept happily. The mattress is super comfortable and indeed we do not sink in and leave impressions. I hope it stays like that. It feels all a bit like being on an anti-grav bed (once anti gravity will have been invented Purple might be in trouble, but that won't happen for a while ;-) The other tale: When we received the mattress, the package had a huge tear and the mattress inside the package was visible torn too. We refused the shipment and the mattress was sent back. We took pictures too and sent those to Purple's customer support and after talking with them they initiated a replacement shipment quickly. That time it arrived all in perfect condition. It took two or three phone calls, they do not respond via email (also no auto-responder, but they do read your emails). However they picked up the phone right away and that was great. So no complaints, customer support is great. I am so happy with the mattress that I will also get a seat cushion and a pillow to see how those are. The material is indeed different, they put a little sample into the package.

When I received my queen size purple bed, I was leery because it was a very firm mattress. I had ordered it because I read the reviews about how it helped with back pain. I can 100% say it got rid of my back pain. I no longer get up in the morning with any aches. I have currently slept on a purple mattress for a year and have been back pain free for a year. The firmness and style of bed really does keep me from any aches and pains.
