My husband likes a more cushiony mattress and I like a firmer one. We bought a very expensive, hybrid memory foam mattress a little over a year ago, supposed medium-firm (nope) and with supposed "cool" technology (nope) -- and I hated it. Hot, too mushy soft, horrible sleep. I read about your mattress and we decided to sell the almost-new mattress and try Purple. From the first night, I loved this mattress almost indecently. I have insomnia, some joint pain, and I tend to get hot in the middle of the night. Purple seemed to support me perfectly where I needed support and to embrace me where I needed some cuddling. My body temperature remained normal throughout the night. I wake up rested and without aches. I can't believe how comfortable this mattress is! I love it so much, if I wasn't already hitched, I would marry it!!!!

I'm going on my 4th week with the purple mattress, along with the harmony pillow and the softstretch sheets, and am more than impressed! Perfect amount of support without being too firm, or too soft. The cooling effect of the grid has given me comfortable rest, even in sweatpants with a 70 pound dog laying his head over my legs! You would think this would all create a reverse effect on wanting to get out of bed in the morning, not the case. Instead, I feel well rested and energized, and have been getting up easier and ready for the day. Thank you Purple!

I was expecting some crazy comfortable mattress but it doesn't feel revolutionary like they claim. I've been thinking of sending it back but I'll see if it grows on me. I mean it's comfortable but so are a lot of other beds I've tried. I guess it just comes down to preference and at the moment I prefer something different.

Still trying to get used to the mattress. It's been about 2 weeks. It is quite different and I'm still not completely used to it yet. And for anyone thinking about using the Splitit purchase option, I strongly suggest you avoid. It charges your card the monthly payment, it authorizes the remaining balance every 21 days, even though the payments are due monthly. And if the authorization does not go through, you have 6 days to make sure authorization will get approved, EVEN THOUGH the main payment is due every 30 days. It's almost as much a cluster as my attempt at explaining!

The week i purchased this, I developed a weird cough. Ran lots of tests, no discernible problems. Went on vacation for a week, cough disappeared. Came back and redeveloped the cough. WEIRD. Got rid of the bed. Comfort is meh. Not fantastic for stomach sleepers.

Although the quality and general make up is above standard, this is just not the mattress for us. It is a little too firm for our sore, old beat up bodies. We have tried to make it work because we really do like the general make up and design, but alas it has to move on and we have to find something a bit softer. It would be great to point out in the general information that this is a great bed for someone who likes a firmer mattress. I think that could save the few returns that Purple does have. The Customer Service so far has been wonderful.

The Purple mattress has a very nice, very soft top layer, but the layer beneath is firmer than expected. It is not harshly firm, but I would prefer something a bit more supple. Customer service was great. We will likely keep the mattress, but were hoping for a WOW experience.

This bed is amazing, too amazing in fact. I've henceforth decided that the purple mattress company in a new age lovecraftian cult centered around making sure humanity never leaves the cool enveloping comfort of our beds ever again. In all seriousness however this bed rocks, super easy to set up, and incredibly cool and comfy all night long. I, for one, welcome our new sleep based overlords.

I have been sleeping on my purple Twin XL for nearly a month now, and I have zero complaints about the bed. Its everything I expected it to be, and the purple pillows are a pleasant surprise. My one note, which is really more of a comment than a complaint, is that this mattress, frame foundation, bed sheets and pillows came wrapped and presented in so much fancy cardboard that putting it all out at the curb took a second garbage bin. frankly, it seemed like a lot of unnecessary and wasted material, even if it is just cardboard.. But again, the bed itself, is amazing.

I bought one of their mattresses 2 years ago, but I broke my back and couldn't sleep in the bed. They took it back and donated it to a women's shelter and refunded 100% of my money no questions asked. I am healed now and have purchased another one from them and it is pure bliss! Great product, great Company and great service! It's nice when it works out!
