I recently moved and got my mattresses and pillows delivered shortly after that. As soon as it was all set up and I first layed on the bed it was heaven. So if u have had one of those days where your whole body hurts and you can't get comfy, then lay on a purple mattress they are no joke everything aligned and I became instantly relieved. So much it puts a smile on your face.

We got this bed as a last resort because I'm pregnant and wake up every morning sore and more tired than the night before. I was hoping Purple would solve that problem. I do feel more support with this bed than with our old mattress, and I have less back pain, but I do not find it very comfortable in general. However, I don't know if that's because you can't really expect to be comfortable when you're expecting. You have to sleep on your side when you're pregnant, and I think that is part of the problem -- there isn't enough "give" for wider preggo hips. I'm hoping that after the baby comes and I can sleep on my back again that I will really love this bed, because it does feel comfortable when I lie on my back for a few minutes at a time.

I have never been able to sleep well, even as a child. As an adult, it got worse. My ex beat me up, primarily my back, and I have arthritis and fibromyalgia. I would sleep with pillows under my legs on which ever side I was sleeping on and they would eventually ache horribly, wake up and turn to the other side put pillows under me. I could not sleep on my back as it hurt beyond belief. Eight months ago, one of our remaining two dogs had limited mobility issues which made sleeping downstairs in our room no longer an option so I started sleeping on the couch. I got maybe 4 hours of sleep a night. He passed away. Three days later, our remaining dog, a rescued now 13 year old Rottie we have had for 12 years, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg only. She had to have her leg amputated and I'm still on the upstairs couch now. I tried 3 layers of memory foam with first dog on the couch and floor and it didn't work. I ordered an elevated blow up twin with 5 star reviews and sent it back after the second night. Out of sheer desperation, I ordered the original twin in Purple. I will be honest, I always laughed at the commercials and thought "yea, right. like that's really going to work". I'm eating my words. The first night I never woke up from pain, just from sounds. It has been that way for a week now. My husband tried it today on his day off and was able to lay on his back as am I. I don't need extra pillows and I wake up WITHOUT BACK OR LEG PAIN! It is permanently on the floor in our living room as long as our Lily is still with us. Which is interesting in itself. because she gets around on 3 legs and climbed up on it this evening and is currently asleep on my Purple mattress as I type this! I am apparently going to have to fight to get my Purple back and need to check to see if you make dog beds!!!! When she joins our other fur babies at Rainbow Bridge, I will order a king for our room. I'm in no hurry. I have never slept so good in my life and my remaining fur baby dog is sleeping next to me. You have helped a very stressed out, grieving dog mom who can't thank you enough. This mattress truly does do what it says and cradles fibro trigger points and cradles you to a restful sleep which I HAVE NEVER had. God bless you richly.

We've had our original Purple mattress since December 2017 and it has been the best purchase, by far. Unfortunately, my husband now snores because of the deep sleep he gets, but he always doesn't wake up with back pain anymore. Being pregnant while sleeping on the Purple mattress was very comfy! I was able to sleep sound almost all the way to the end; by then I did have to bust out the good ol' pregnancy pillow. Our baby now prefers to sleep on Purple! I tell everyone to at least try Purple before committing to another. Sleep has definitely improved since that cold December day.

I bought my Purple genuinely excited by the prospect of an amazing night's sleep. The ads and the science seemed to be speaking right to my needs. That said, you can imagine my supreme disappointment to be requesting a refund after less than a month. First, the good. Purple, as a company, is AMAZING!! They were a dream to deal with in requesting and receiving my refund. They absolutely held up their end of the bargain. 10 stars for their policies and customer service!! The bed, unfortunately, did not provide the restful nights I anticipated despite performing exactly as advertised. The purple gel layer was SOOOOO cool (to the touch and just in general). It felt so unusual in every sense of the word. Pressing my hands into it, I could feel it push back with support and then suddenly give as just the right amount of pressure caused it to flex around my fingers. I couldn't wait to sleep on it. The first few nights were...OK. I didn't sleep great, but they said I'd need time to adjust. I knew that any day my body would recognize the superior sleeping surface it was now being provided and my joint and muscle pains would melt away. After a few more nights, I was beginning to wonder what the problem was. I tossed and turned ALL night. I simply couldn't find a position that would allow me to stay asleep. Now, full disclosure, I'm a big guy. Large frame, about 280. I've had my previous mattress about 10 years. It's an inner spring with a pillow top and it's honestly given me some of the best nights of sleep I've ever had. It's just old and ready to be put to pasture or I wouldn't be in the market. After a few more nights on the Purple, I was able to pinpoint exactly the flaws in the design. First off, it's too thin. This was most apparent during "amorous" activities when I could feel the support platform under my knees with seemingly very little padding. I'm a big guy, so I can't fault them for not providing more foundation foam. I may simply be too large for the bed. The other issue, anyone of any size would likely experience. As I said before, the gel layer provides support until a certain threshold of force is applied. This is ostensibly to accommodate pressure points. The problem is when two connected body parts find themselves on opposite sides of that threshold. It was most notable in my shoulders and knees. My back, being part of the bulk of my body, would depress the gel beyond the crush threshold. My arms, however, would not. This led to my body and arms being supported to two different degrees at two completely different levels. The pressure under my arms was forcing them upward, while the gel under my torso gave way and relaxed. This caused significant shoulder pain during the nights I slept on my back or stomach. Similarly, my thighs were heavy enough to pass the crush threshold, but my calls were not. This created a similar pressure differential right at my knees when I slept on my side, causing knee pain which lasted throughout the day. These two conditions (along with similar factors elsewhere) meant that there was no single position that wouldn't cause me discomfort. Thus, I tossed and turned all night and never got good sleep. It even effected my performance at work to the point I had to sleep on the couch until our new mattress arrived. I don't mean this to seem negative. The bed performed according to spec. That spec just didn't seem to be designed with larger guys in mind. Great company. High quality product. Ultimately just not for me.

This is by far the BEST mattress I have ever slept on. I am a side sleeper and have shoulder pain. Since sleeping on the Purple mattress the pain is just a memory. It is cool, comfortable and firm yet very giving in just the right places. I can't recommend the mattress enough. I am orderimg the pillows soon!

This is was one of the best investments I ever made. My wife and I are getting much more sleep throughout the night. We're falling asleep faster and waking up feeling more refreshed. My back feels much better when waking up in the morning. Highly recommend this product.

I am 24 years old. After about 1.5 years of chronic back pain, I finally made my first "big" purchase. I did a lot of research on various mattresses, and decided Purple would be right for me. (I move to various positions in my sleep). I purchased the cheapest one available, and will never go back to a different brand ever again. Not only has my back pain vanished, my overall quality of sleep has improved- I really haven't slept this well in about 10 years. The first night was different, as I was getting used to the mattress, but I immediately noticed improvement pain-wise. Best purchase ever, and definitely worth it!

It took one night and my husband and I fell in love with this mattress. We replace our sleep number matress (glorified expensive air mattress) with the purple matress. Best purchase we made. We look forward going to bed everynight. No more sore back's for my husband. We have no complaints at all. Love love love this mattress.

Our old mattress was too soft, causing back pain. The guest room mattress was too hard, causing shoulder pain. The Purple gives me just the right amount of back support and shoulder cushion. I sleep better than I have in years and after one month, my pain is virtually gone!
