We were in the market for a mattress, so based on the reviews we decided to buy a purple mattress. Worse decision, it is very uncomfortable! We wake up with back pain and toss and turn all night! Additionally, the mattress size was supposed to be a queen size however, it is short and now we have a wedge between the mattress and the headboard. Unfortunately, after we bought it we had a serious of life events that took our minds off counting the number of days to return it or exchange it. My husband complains about the lack of comfort of this mattress everyday. Sadly, purchasing a new mattress just isn't in our budget right now. I wrote this review to make other buyers aware and to stay away from this mattress.

I got hit with Covid a few days before my bed was delivered, only a matter of time since I work in a hospital. I had bad body aches like a was being squeezed. When first laid down that night my body aches lightened up and I knocked out! I have to say this bed did help me with the Covid body aches. Fast forward to today the virus has left my body, and I'm still sleeping cool and pain free. Bed is nice and firm, but not too firm it's never felt like any other mattress I've had before. I'm coming from a tuft&needle and this purple mattress blows it out of the bedroom! Can't wait to get the weighted blanket.

First, let me just get out the way that I haven't woken up with a stiff shoulder, or back or any of those normal morning pains that I've gotten so used to in my 30 years of life. So purple is as advertised, in my opinion, when it comes to comfort and support in all the right places to maintain neutral spine. The other selling point for me was sleeping cool. I get HOT. I would soak in my old memory foam mattress to the point where it would be soppy on my side of the bed. I knew that would have to change, and I was instantly sold on the idea of air flow underneath me to maintain coolness. I slept cool for the first week, but lately been getting hot. I'm switching to the purple stretchy sheet (originally had a parachute fitted sheet on it-amazing btw) to see if that changes anything. Another tidbit, this is my first king size bed so I don't know what I should be expecting, but I didn't anticipate my feet to dangle so closely to the edge of the bed? I'm only 5'11" so not very used to that, at least I don't think I remember that on my old queen. One more point and I'm outta here. The density. I bought this with the platform steel base, and I was underwhelmed either at the base design or the mattress density-can't decide which. You definitely don't want to plop down on your mattress aggressively, because the mattress has some give to it and you'll feel the top side of that steel support rod on your tailbone or back. It won't be a direct sharp pain, but you'll definitely thud and feel resistance. I guess "don't jump on your new bed" is always a good solution, but I felt it that thud just by plopping down from standing next to it. I'm 175lbs, I imagine that's light by mattress capacity standards, so if I'm having this issue I can't help but wonder what heavier individuals are going through. In all honestly, the caveats are minor but worth noting. Big picture, I've been sleeping like a gem, and waking up feeling amazing. I would definitely make this purchase again and highly recommend anybody who's curious to give it a shot.

The mattress is super comfy and my back doesnt hurt anymore, which was the reason why I got a new mattress. However, I assume it is because of the rubbery material, the PURPLE mattress makes me sweat A LOT!!! To the point that I wake up bc im so cold due to the sweat. My husband has started to sweat too, and it becomes uncomfortable bc it feels like you are sticking to the mattress. Im so dissapointed bc I love the rigidness but I dont think we'll br keeping it.

I've ordered 3 purple mattresses, and the mattress are excellent quality. My problem is with shipping and the order in which items arrive (if they ever show up). The mattress always arrives first, but the accessories (e.g., pillows, sheets, mattress covers, platforms) arrive days to weeks after the mattress arrives. In the case of a platform I ordered, it is back-ordered 8 weeks, but Purple keeps on selling them from their website. They told me this is out of their control. No - you can stop selling them! I had to contact them several times before they finally told me the length of time it would take to arrive, and the "customer support" specialist didn't seem to understand the problem they caused me. A mattress without a platform is worthless! I had to cancel my platform order today and find another option. Purple has no problem accepting my money, but needs to better synchronize shipping so items arrive together. Likewise, be honest with costumers when they can not fulfill an order within a reasonable amount of time. I have no confidence that future purchases will be any different; this was the last purchase I will make.

We purchased the 2" bed approximately 30 days ago. My husband is a back sleeper and says his lower back pain has almost stopped hurting since sleeping on this bed. I agree that sleeping on my back or stomach, this bed is nice. Unfortunately, I am a side sleeper and this bed makes my hips hurt. I wake up 2 or 3 times per night from pain and have to flip to the other side.

So far, I gave the mattress a 2 stars, I hope it gets better, but I love the sheets they get a 5 star. If this does not improve in two more weeks, I will call for a return. I am 200 lbs and it may be too soft, not sure of others, do not like the pillows, heavy but not cool. etc

I ordered two twin XL mattresses for our king bed. Our old mattress was not providing enough support and we were having back pain. Long story short...my husband LOVES the purple mattress. Sadly, I started out loving it, but with each week that passed, my hip pain and stiffness got worse to the point I couldn't pick up anything from the floor, sit comfortably, do ordinary chores etc. I started sleeping on the floor and within days I was back to my old self. Just this week I made the call to get a refund for my twin, but my husband is keeping his. Even though it gave me a great night's sleep, my body could not handle the Purple. _

This mattress is incredibly comfortable. It seems to keep my neck and back perfectly aligned, so I never wake up with headaches or a stiff neck like I had with my old mattress. One of our favorite things about the mattress is that each side is totally independent of the other. If one of us gets up, the other has no idea. You feel absolutely zero movement on the other side of the bed. This mattress is significantly less expensive than our previous one, and so much more comfortable! We will definitely be buying Purple mattresses from now on!

I was so stoked to get this because of the reviews. I will say it is softer than most mattresses, but I absolutely can feel the squares underneath me. It makes it awkward when I lay in any position. However, the sheets and mattress protector are awesome.
