My husband and I decided to try out the Purple mattress after spending buying a new memory foam mattress topper every 2 years. What a change! I liked the feel of a memory foam mattress, but hated feeling stuck in it when I went to move. I also hated how hot it got in the middle of the night. The Purple mattress has a similar feel to memory foam in that you are cradled, but I don't feel stuck. And it doesn't get hot. We could not be any happier with our new mattress.

I'm a large guy (6'6, 280) who used to play a lot of sports, and because of that my body seems to be aging and aching more frequently than I hoped. My wife and I slept on a second-hand bed for 8 years, and after our last move we decided it was time for a new mattress. We looked in every brick-&-mortar store, and most online retailers. We happened upon the Purple introduction video on social media and decided to look into it. After reading reviews of many people who suffered from the same pain I experience, we decided the price was worth the chance, especially given the 100-night trial period. Upon delivery we immediately opened the package and laid down. The feeling is hard to explain fully. Most people are familiar with laying on a memory foam mattress, and while Purple does incorporate some memory foam, the real star of the show is the elastic polymer topper. It cradles every spot with just the right amount of support without ever feeling like you're sinking too far. I describe it to my friends as a "smart" product, as it feels like the mattress reacts to my shifts in body weight with amazing accuracy and pressure. I can't believe how much I love this mattress. Thank you, Purple, for allowing me the opportunity to have a restful, deep night of sleep again. I can't wait to go to sleep now. :-)

I am a side sleeper, but I also have a bad shoulder...Not a good combination. Before getting the Purple mattress I would toss and turn all night with shoulder pain and discomfort. I was looking for some relief and was always intrigued by the Purple commercials. Well I had enough of sleepless nights and decided to go ahead and try the Purple mattress. I can definitely say that laying on my Purple is one of the most satisfying parts of my day. I feel like my body just melts into the mattress. I'm able to sleep on my side at night, and my shoulder pain has greatly diminished. If you're in the market for a new mattress and your on the fence about the Purple, I say take the plunge and get it!

We put off getting a new mattress for too long and I'm now wondering why we didn't get this sooner! There is a bit of an adjustment period to get used to actually being supported while sleeping, but once you adjust you won't sleep better anywhere else! We feel cooler at night and wake up feeling great and not stiff and sore. I'm so glad we got the purple mattress!

The first month, I was already thinking about getting a refund because my lower back was irritated after I woke up on a purple mattress. Luckily, I read a small pamphlet that came with the bed that mentioned how our body's need time to adapt to the new bed, which made a lot of sense. I stuck it out, and now I sleep better then ever! I'm very happy with this mattress. The way it contours to my body is great and it leaves me feeling good the next morning.

I love my purple mattress! For this to be an "honest review", as purple asked for, I would need to make a few things clear. There was an adjustment period for my body to "break into" the bed. First night: I put an egg in a zip lock bag and tried breaking it on the bed. I couldn't. I got mad and tried jumping on the egg with my feet on the bed. Still I could not break it. I spent 30 minutes trying to prove the commercial wrong. I wasted my time. My first impression was how this bed is a whole different kind of cushion. It's both soft and firm. You sink in a ways to sort of cup your body and then get the support from the foam underneath the elastic. I found it to be rather soft. I weigh 165lbs, if you weigh more the bed will be firmer, if you weigh less, it will be even softer. It was just right for me. Night 2: I wanted to return it. At this point all the bed had going for it was how cool and breathable it was to sleep on. Night 7: I wanted to throw it in the yard and burn it. My back was sore all over. I had a hard time getting comfortable while sleeping.I wanted to give the bed every chance I could so I went to the store and purchased some jersey knit sheets. Week 2: My back only seemed to hurt more although the sheets had entirely transformed the bed into a more breathable, more cushioned, and more supportive bed. I stuck it out determined to give it the full 30 days. Week 3: My back began to get used to the support this bed offered. The sheets vastly improved the cool temperature. I was hoping for the best and only had 1 week before I was going to make my decision. Week 4: All pain went away. I slept harder, longer, better, and cooler. I really started to like it and decided to give it another week. Week 5: I slept on a different bed for one night. The next day I felt horrible and realized how much I had really enjoyed the purple. It provides the perfect support for your back. So if your anything like me don't expect it to be the best sleep right away. Give it time and let it grow on you. We have the California king, it is by far the best mattress we have ever had, and we will only buy purple from now on, my husband has spinal cord damage, he is sleeping a whole lot better, and doesn't hurt in the mournings,, I have arthritis, and hated waking up , I hurt so bad and it was hard to walk,, after 4 nights on the purple, i no longer hurt in the mornings, waking up is a pleasure, luv this bed,

Purple truly is the "Goldilocks" of mattresses. We tried several mattresses before we finally tried the Purple. Casper, Leesa, and Helix can't compare. Purple is just amazing! My husband likes very firm beds (basically rock hard) and I like a softer feel but still need support. All other mattresses either made his lower back hurt from being too soft or made my shoulders and spine hurt from being too hard. With Purple, we can finally both get a good night's sleep! It really is firm where you need it and soft where you want it. I sing Purple's praises to everyone I can. I have friends and family lay on our bed to see how comfortable it is. I want everyone to experience the awesomeness that is Purple. Thank you, thank you, thank you for existing! Now, if you could just make a Purple pillow, I may never get out of bed!

The best Christmas present I have ever gotten myself is my Purple mattress. My wife and I love it! We have never had such great sleep! My wife told me that I have actually quite snoring in the night! That in and of itself is worth the money for one of these heavenly sleep machines! We are considering buying another to have in our guest bedroom so our guests will have a restful, peaceful nights sleep! Thanks for everything Purple! We are excited every night to lay down and just relax!

I have had lots of mattresses in my time, as I had to move many many times while living in SF, CA and many other cities. As you know, roommate situations come and go, so do the mattresses. I have gotten past my nomadic nature, and when I found purple, I was able to have a no hassle experience getting the mattress I have but dreamed about. I am a heavy man, so I need a good solid mattress to do the job. I can almost say it is too comfortable. I miss the discomforts similar to a PTSD war veteran misses physical abuse. Thank you purple.
