My husband and I researched mattresses for over 18 months before deciding to buy. We wanted to make sure we were 100% knowledgeable on every available product before buying. We were VERY hesitant to buy a mattress from an online retailer, just knowing we couldn't lay on it or even see it in person prior to buying. I suffer from hip and back issues due to a spine curvature (scoliosis). It has made living and sleeping difficult and, oftentimes, painful. My husband and I had a hard time deciding between Purple and Casper. We ultimately decided to try purple first and Casper if we had any qualms. After a couple of weeks with Purple, my husband (who prefers sitting up in bed and reading before going to sleep) had difficulty getting used to lounging on the mattress. We decided to order Casper before returning our Purple and give it a try. After a single night in Casper we both knew purple was the way to go! I woke up the morning after trying Casper with neck pain I hadn't thought about since we got the Purple. It's definitely the best mattress for a good night sleep / amazing body alignment while lying down. Sitting up is a bit problematic because you just sort of sink down. Also, when one of our little guys makes their way into our bed throughout the night, one of us gets pushed to an edge and I've almost rolled off the soft edge more than once. That probably could be solved if we had gotten a king vs a queen or if we sleep train our children better but none of that really matters when you consider how good this bed makes you feel - especially as a side sleeper! I'm in my early 30s and I had way more hip/back pain from side sleeping on our previous (awful) mattress and I would spend the money on this mattress over and over again purely for the relief it has brought my aches and pains.

I like it, I feel I get into REM much faster. I have noticed my lower back does get a little stiff. My husband who has had 2 back surgery doesn't like it,it causes pain in his lower lumbar so we are going to buy a topper for his side to see if it helps.

I have lower back issues and a mattress that provides the support needed to reduce the aches and pains is something that I could not live without. This mattress provides the support needed. Doesn't completely take away the aches but definitely reduces.

The purple matress is the absolute best nights sleep I've ever gotten! I was used to sleeping on a waterbed before I got married and then switched to a regular mattress when I did. I woke up every day sore and hated sleeping. Then my wife and I purchased a purple mattress and I can't express enough how amazing it is! I can't make myself get out of bed its so comfortable. I think waking up is the hardest part of my day now!
