The ordering process was great. We ordered the Purple Bed2, platform, sheets, and mattress protector. We also received a free pillow with the purchase of the bed. We honestly haven't even slept on the mattress yet. We just got the mattress tonight at 9:30pm through a sketchy "free white glove delivery." We received all the other items we ordered two weeks ago. The distribution company named Mantis delivery services hired another company to actually deliver the mattress. The distribution company finally called to set up delivery four days ago to be delivered today at 1:00. I took off work to be here when it was delivered. The delivery service hadn't showed up yet at 2:15 so I called the distribution company back. They said the delivery wasn't ever set up. I told them they had called and asked if 1:00 today would work to deliver the mattress. The distribution company called the delivery company and verified that the mattress was to be delivered but couldn't get ahold of them and basically told me sorry but not our problem. I then called Purple and spoke to someone that apologized all over the place and gave me a number to call. I called the number and finally got ahold of the delivery guy. He was eight hours away in a different state! He said he'd be here by 6:00. Mind you it was now 2:15 and he told me he had two other stops before he got to our house. Well, the mattress finally got here at 9:30pm. The deal was to have the delivery guys take the new mattress in and hawk the old mattress away. Well, the guy showed up with his tiny girlfriend and that's it. He asked where the mattress was going. I told him it was supposed to go upstairs. The guy looked at me and said they told me there was no stairs! I told him that's why I did the whole " free white glove delivery and hawl out!" He said he'd give it a shot. I told him my son and I would help out too. Well, the guy goes back to the truck and pulls out this huge king size bed box! Yes a box! Not what they show in all the videos! We live in a old hose with a finished master bedroom upstairs. We went with the Purple Bed because it advertised coming in a tube you cut open and it expands ect. I told the guy that I didn't think we'd be able to get a king size mattress up the stairs due to the angle and head room going up the stairs. The guy said he thought he could squish the bed in half if we helped. We were able to get the bed upstairs after a lot of grunting and effort. Totally not part of the deal. The guy did hawl away the old bed. In short, the bed and products seem good but the communication between Purple and the delivery process is terrible. If I was to do it again, I'd just have it delivered to my door. It's be quicker and WAY less hassle. Also, the pillow does have a very strong smell. I washed it with warm water and detergent like the directions say but it still smells. I called the company on this issue and they immediately told me they would send me another pillow. I thought that was good of them just holes it doesn't smell too. Hopefully the bed is good. We'll see!!
