I wasn't sold on buying a mattress without being able to try it first. Purple came highly recommended by a friend, so we took the plunge. After a few days of getting used to it, my wife and I are in love with our bed again! The Purple is supportive, and was so easy to get set up and ready to use. Definitely singing the praises of the Purple Mattress to friends and family now.

We got this due to low back pain and pressure point issues. It has made a huge improvement in our sleep experience. Cooling to sleep on, does not transfer much motion, and comfy but supportive. It came quickly and was easy to install. We were impressed there was no outgassing smell either. Win/win!

These beds sheets are amazing when you first get them. However, after a few washes they begin to ball up. I had bought some for relatives for Christmas. They asked me if I had the receipt to return them because they are balling up. I got in contact with purple and they said they could sent a replacement. I told them I didn't want a replacement because I will have the same problem again. I took in account it is happening to other people and not just me. The customer service rep said if you take care of them, they won't happen.... Customer service rep said they cannot return bed sheets for refund. So unless you want to be stuck with these sheets don't buy them!

I have chronic back pain that turns into hip pain if its not taken care of. Sleeping in this mattress gets rid of all of that. I can even lay on my stomach again (not for long, but I can). I sleep so well and my roommate is super jealous as well. They said next time they buy a mattress they're getting one of these for sure.

i had 2 of your old cushions, & a woman i spoke to there sent me free new cushion, now i consider that important, w/ a hundred days to be sure, this old man will buy your single bed mattress in about six months, you treat customers like we matter - thanx

After spending 4+ months looking at all sorts of various mattresses, I luckily decided on the Purple 2. I'm a 46 years old, 6' 2", 250 lb ex-college basketball player. Having bad lower back and shoulder aches, I needed something soft, but yet also firm. The Purple 4 and 3 we're a little too soft and squishy, but the Purple 2, I believed would be perfect. Being given a 120 days to test the mattress, I decided to take the risk. I can honestly say that my back is ever felt better, I've never had such deeper sleeps, and I feel completely energized throughout the day with no need to take a nap. I also bought the adjustable base stand. The bottom-line: This mattress has been best investment I've made in a very long time.

This was definitely not a love at first sleep mattress for my boyfriend and I. We were used to a less firm mattress but wanted to try purple because we had heard that it was great with back support. I remember waking up after the first night and telling my boyfriend I hated it, a month later I love it. I'm sleeping through the night and my back is feeling better and better. Thanks purple! Sorry for doubting you in the beginning.

Casper, tempurpedic, sleep number, don't have anything on Purple beds. I didn't even have the "get used to it" time with the bed, I loved it the first night. I've been finding reasons to lay in bed even when I'm not sleeping! Don't hesitate, I'm a real person who really loves my new Purple bed.

I can't believe how COOL this mattress stays. I spend a few hours knitting in bed at night, most nights, and I do not sweat or over heat with this mattress. Compared to my memory foam mattress, this is way more supportive. I had to change pillows because my hips/shoulders don't sink down in the bed anymore - I needed a more densely filled pillow to keep my head and neck in line with my spine. It's week 2 with this mattress. I sleep FAR more soundly. I'm a side sleeper and actually feel asleep on my back one night! That has have never happened. My body is still adjusting (mainly neck) but am hoping the firmer pillow (MyPillow brand) will help once it arrives. Boyfriend has had a tougher time adjusting. Will update my review when his body fully transitions.

I'm a back sleeper. I was attracted to Purple because bad experiences had turned me off of spring mattresses, but I doubted an all foam mattress could give me enough support. Adding thus new high tech new technology to it, though, made it sound like it could do the job - provide support while feeling soft. On the surface (no pun intended), the mattress did feel more comfortable than any I'd yet owned. It felt great as I lounged around on it on my stomach or side with my phone or laptop. When it came to sleeping, though, at first, it was a nightmare! The pain srarted in my hips and radiated up to my shoulders. It felt like my hips were sinking far lower into the mattress than the rest of my body. According to the pictures of the ideal shape of the spine, they're supposed to do that, but it HURT! On some desperate night, I rolled over to my side to relieve the discomfort. It felt VERY comfortable when on my side, but I still couldn't sleep because that's not my position. The website and customer reviews said this was common, give it time. Okay. My mattress arrived Sept. 22. Less than 2 weeks later, the pain stopped. It was by no means the most mindblowingly comfortable bed I ever slept on or anything, but usable. Then on Oct. 16, I left for a multi night bike trip and came back 11 nights later. The pain was back. And stayed for days. I decided I couldn't just stop traveling, and I couldn't go through this every time I traveled, so the first Sunday in November, I admitted defeat and called to return it. They were wonderful about it; the return process could not have been easier. My prediction came true: during the week between the initial phone call, getting a new mattress, and getting the old one picked up, I adjusted again and felt comfortable. Since it was still nothing special and I couldn't go through the adjustment process every time I slept somewhere else, I went through with the return, though. If you're a side sleeper like the vast majority of the population, I highly recommend getting this. I bet it was designed with you in mind. If you're a rare back sleeper like me, I still recommend trying it. If you don't like it, it's easy to return, but there's every chance you could like it (if you give yourself time to adjust).
