My wife and I of 17 years had a mattress that was completely wore out and began the tedious task of trying to find a good mattress within the budget we set. We (She) got caught up in the hype about a Purple one and I deferred to her judgment since she is the one that is that has chronic restless nights (I can sleep through anything). I would be lying if I said I wasn't really anticipating getting it incorporated into our lives but it was short lived. I loved the firmness but now actually wish we would have looked around more. I felt all the positive reviews were stacked on the top of the list to manufacture the hype we bought into and that I should have persevered through the reviews to find where someone may have felt the way I do now. We aren't the kind of people to complain or return things so the 100 night challenge didn't appeal to me from the beginning since we knew we would not entertain going through the hassle to return something this inconvenient. My wife has very mixed emotions too and has still yet to endorse this purchase as a good investment. I am excited to see how long it takes to wear down to where we are on the hunt again for the perfect nights sleep. I do feel the construction is top notch and should wear very well which only time will tell. The purchasing and delivery was extremely predictable and easy to track right to our door as promised. Would I do it all over again? Right now I would look elsewhere but in time I could be swayed if it outlasts all of the other mattresses we have owned. I get a better nights sleep in my recliner or on my camping cot but my beloved wife sleeps better now than she did on the mattress we retired which is worth everything to me!

I'm a stomach sleeper but my old mattress prevented me from that position because of back pain caused by a sagging mattress. Purple has let me get back to my favorite sleep position! I've had some of the best sleep in years now! I look forward to the soft but supportive purple design! Very happy.

Our Sleep Number bed gave out a few years ago and we switched to a latex bed-in-a-box. Hated it. Only 6 inches thick, it was a miserable sleep. Finally did a ton of research and landed on Purple. It's exceptional. Quick delivery, easy set up and a blissful sleep. Well done Purple.

We had to wait an extra week to get our mattress due to our vacation schedule, and have only been sleeping on the bed for about 2 weeks now. Everything about this bed my girlfriend and I both love! Since I started sleeping on this bed, I now sleep for 10 hours a night, like a baby! I have a lot of back problems due to my time in the military, and have never been able to sleep anywhere for more than 4 hours at a time. This bed has been such a life changer, so naturally I had all of my friends try it and now they have decided they want one! We REALLY wanted to get the Purple.3 but that was slightly out of our price range, however the original still sleeps great, it isn't ideal for side sleeping, but it isn't uncomfortable to do so either. This bed really does sleep cool, and comfortable all night, and simply put I can not say enough good things about this bed!

Never pictured the day when I would buy a mattress sight unseen online, not having laid on it in a store. I have always hated the way other "foam" mattresses felt, to constrictive and hot. The purple mattress does what is supposed to support without pressure points, and It sleeps cool. It felt different when we first laid on it; nothing out there like it. We love it and feel we found a solution for our prior nights of poor sleep. I would like to see the prices come down some so we could outfit more bedrooms in the house. Thanks purple!

I have had back issues since I was a kid and after 3 abdominal surgeries and carrying 2 kids I was starting to have muscle spasms and was hardly mobile that's when I decided to take the leap and buy my purple mattress I have gotten better sleep and have been in less pain ever since I highly suggest it to anyone with pains or sleeping issues

Finding a bed that works for me is a tough problem to solve. See, I was born with a tumor in my spinal cord. I had major back surgery at just two years old, which included permanent removal of parts of my lumbar and lower thoracic vertebrae. Nearly 40 years and 400 lbs later, I'm severely disabled, bound to a wheelchair other than a few transfer steps with the aid of a walker. I live in constant pain, and typically couldn't sleep for more than about five hours at a time without waking up in horrible agony from lower back pain. My king-sized Original Purple Mattress is everything they say it is. I can sleep as long as I want now! Yes, I'm still in great pain when I get out of bed, though less than before... but while I'm in my Purple, I'm in very little pain, if any at all. Every time I get into bed, my spine goes through what I call a "decompression period" in which my pain levels skyrocket. After it decompresses, I can't get back up for a time, as my discs are very sensitive and tender during that time. With every other bed I've used, that decompression period is about 15-20 minutes, and the subsequent "can't get back up" period is at least two hours. With my Purple, decompression is down to maybe 2-4 minutes, and I can get back up less than an hour later if I have to. I can -feel- how well-aligned my spine is. It's amazing! So far, about two months into using it, it's holding up very well. I had a Tuft and Needle previously that gave up any support or firmness within two weeks and just became a saggy mess under my weight. The Purple is holding its firmness nicely, and feels just like it did the day I got it. Moving around and rolling over isn't as hard as I feared. Memory foam or pillow-top coil spring mattresses are difficult for me to move around on with my disability. I worried that the Purple would be even worse, given how much give there is in the top layer of hyperelastic polymer, but it's actually the opposite. It manages to be firm enough for easy movement, yet still soft enough to cradle pressure points, just like they say! If you're worried that this is all just very clever advertising (which admittedly, it is amazing!), and that this is just another mail order mattress, don't. It's just what they claim it to be. It's the one that's different. The patents don't lie! The specific nature of the ads don't lie either (they don't just talk about how well you'll sleep, they show you what's different about it and why, and that's a key difference!) If you have back problems, if you're very heavy, if you have difficulty adjusting to new beds or sleeping through the night, you owe it to yourself to buy a Purple ASAP!

I ordered the purple mattress when I moved to a new state. It was so comfortable to sleep on, even when I only had it on the floor before my bed arrived. That was the total game changer! The Purple mattress on a platform type bed provided me with the most comfortable night's sleep ever! My Mom not only purchased one for herself, but she also sent one to my brother who needed a new mattress! I guess you could say that we are a Purple family! Thanks for the best sleep ever! I want to write a 2 week review. I bought both original and harmony pillows, original mattress, and stretchy sheets. DONT give up if you experience pain within the first week... I came from an extra firm mattress and experienced pain from it prior. After 4 days my body acclimated to the Original pillow and bed and so far I'm in love! My stretchy sheets really change the game... trust me they are a must. The harmony pillow is a little taller than the original pillow without the boosters so it wasn't for me but I love how I have the option to donate the pillow to a non profit...RESPECT for the purple company and their products. If y'all come out with a 5 in harmony I will be buying it but it's too large for my small frame. Overall im super impressed. I'm going to add I normally go to the chiropractor monthly and I don't think I'll be going this month! I'm not kidding my posture has completely straightened out in 2 weeks time! Great job Purple.

It was great at first... we got the Original Purple Mattress and the pillows, sheets, protector, AND the bed frame. Because we wanted to make sure we'd get the most out of the mattress and do everything right for comfort, It was really nice the first few months. And I couldn't wait to get into bed. But after about 6 or so months, it started to get uncomfortable. But we didn't really connect our pain to the mattress. After a year it was pretty bad. After 2 years, it was a nightmare. But we didn't have the money to get another mattress after dropping 2,000 on all the Purple stuff. So it's been 3 and half years and I am in so much pain. I haven't felt well rested in 2 years now. I'm 25 years old and my 76 year old grandpa outlasted me at golf this week. I was waddling like a duck and struggled to get out of bed the following morning. Again, I JUST TURNED 25! I shouldn't be having back pain like this. Back, shoulder, neck, hip... it all hurts. There's just been so many issues with the mattress. 1. My 80 pound dog can't even clay down with out bouncing me awake. So imagine what happens when my boyfriend or I change positions? 2. There's a massive indent where I sleep. I'm not a very big person. I gained weight in the last year and a half, but for the majority of the time we had the mattress I only weighed 125 pounds! But it's not deeper than 1 inch while the mattress is sitting on the floor. So not covered under warranty. 3. It does not conform to my body. There's a major gab between my lower back and the mattress. They asked me to use a stack of heavy hard back books to see if they sank into the mattress. Well of course they sink! I sink! The issue is it just sinks everywhere! So again, not covered under warranty they said. 4. It's HOT! My mattress protector is freaking dark grey from being discolored from night sweats. I keep the bedroom at 68° or colder... and I still wake up with the sheets stuck all over my body. I have to fight to get out of the dang sheets. 5. It's so loud. The mattress itself makes a noise when you get up from it. It's awful and loud enough to wake my boyfriend or I up. And finally, I tried sharing my experience in the Facebook comments and now I'm blocked from commenting on Purples posts and my negative comments were removed. So that's super shady... I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even post this review... I tried resolving this over a year ago by trying to call in the warranty and was told I'm just SOL... refer to numbers 2 and 3 above. And in case they try a canned response of "the frame matters!" I WAS USING YOUR FRAME, Purple. Your frame. I'm just so annoyed... and in pain.
