We have had this mattress a little over a year and it's such an uncomfortable mattress. If you like to sleep on your side or stomach, this is not the mattress for you. I wake up every morning with my left side and back hurting so bad. This is a more of a firm mattress and it's not something I would recommend.

i slept only 2 nights on this mattress but i woke up 10 times during the night, can't find my self comfortable on this mattress , it is too hard , my back hurts ,and don't get rest, i was wondering would it get to soften maybe with usage, or i'm to light for this mattress, 120 lb, and how can we return it if it does not work. Thank you.

My husband and I bought a new Serta iComfort innerspring mattress and boxspring a proxy 18 months prior to our amazing Purple purchase. We were both so very uncomfortable. We would never fully sleep soundly. We would drag ourselves out of the bed each morning reluctantly with aches and pains. Well, I had done extensive research on new matressest. My main concern was comfort and temperature. I get hot easily. I have slept on memory foam type mattresses and could never get comfortable. This is the only matress that does not make you hot and gives perfect support. I cannot speak highly enough of our purple mattress. Do yourself a favor and purchase it now! We are sorry we waited as long as we did.. no turning back! I honestly have had dreams every night since I started sleeping on our purple. Now I just don't want to get out of bed cause I am so comfortable. We bought a new platform bed from Restoration Hardware and it works beautifully. I bought my Purple mattress, bed frame and mattress cover 3 years ago. At first I loved this bed. However after only 3 years the support has diminished. When my fiancé gets out of bed early in the morning and I move to the middle of the bed the support is great but on each side my fiancé and I sleep on you can feel the indentation. When I lay on my stomach my back will start to ache because my stomach is not supported and I feel like my back is arching too much. It's such a disappointment considering how much I spent on the bed. I rotate the mattress frequently which helps for a couple days. The bed frame and mattress cover are great. No complaints about those. But I say look for a mattress with longer lasting support, especially considering the price tag of Purple mattresses.

I'm a disabled combat veteran, and have hip, back, and neck issues. I recently decided to take a gamble, and buy a Cali King Purple mattress. I say gamble, because I couldn't lay on one before purchasing... but the 100 day guarantee gave me the security to go for it. Am I glad I did. The Purple mattress provides a different type of support - a total support; specifically, my lower back, hips, and shoulders are cradled in this bed - while it also provides support to the rest of my body. Normally beds give way to your heaviest areas, but then don't provide enough support the the immediate areas (ex: butt presses down, so mattress doesn't recover enough for full lower back support). When my wife laid down on it for the first time, she summarized it the best by saying, "I can feel is supporting my lower back - I didn't realize our last mattress wasn't until right now." I am one happy customer, and am very glad I chanced this mattress. This mattress has eased my pain, and greatly improved my quality of sleep. Previously, we though we were getting good rest... but now? We wake up as if we've come from deep stasis- completely rested and rejuvenated. This bed is amazing.

Not for me. I gave it its 21-day trial, and my hips and shoulders/neck don't feel any better than they did with my sleep number mattress (which I also found uncomfortable). I can see how this would be an ideal mattress for a back sleeper- the material isn't soft enough for me, personally. The off-gassing was also terrible for the first two weeks... but it got much less noticeable after that time period.

The first night on the purple mattress was alright. I wasn't adjusted, but it felt comfortable, enough. At the end of two weeks, I was waking up each morning stiff and sore. I've always had back problems, and the new mattress seemed to be exacerbating the problem. I decided to go online and call for a return. When I got to the site, I saw the request from purple to give it 30 days. I thought it was only fair, and I could give it another two weeks. After one more week on the mattress, my back problems had melted away. I haven't felt this consistently good in years. I don't know what the difference might have been between week 2 and week 3. Perhaps I just needed to get through an adjustment period.

My wife has been wanting a new mattress since we got married, but I always thought our mattress was fine. I didn't mind the sinkhole caused by our boxspring, and was just of the overall opinion that it was good enough. After two years of her wanting a new mattress, trying to persuade me with visits to mattress stores and youtube commercials, we settled on getting the purple mattress, along with the platform base, mattress protector, sheets, and pillows. It was really fun to get the parts for the system, since they arrived at different times and we replaced everything one by one. Throwing out the boxspring first made the mattress FLAT again and so much more comfortable. The sheets are divine, and I love how cool and stretchy they are, plus the bottom sheet never comes untucked (though she sometimes steals all of the top sheet as she cacoons in it through her normal rolling). The pillows came next and were so cool and comfortable, but on our spring mattress as it was, it seemed too short. We laid there with everything from purple except the mattress, and everything was so much more comfortable that I could FEEL how bad our mattress was. Our mattress was the worst part of the system, making everything else less comfortable. Then we got out purple mattress, and it was a game-changer. The sheets fit perfectly, the bed became incredibly comfortable, The pillows became the perfect height, and we've never slept or felt better. It's even helped with muscle soreness that I've just... always had and never considered were coming from our mattress. Having received everything piecemeal, I know exactly how much each part of the system helped with our sleeping experience, and I can't imagine sleeping on a regular mattress gain, just like I can't imagine brutally wasting the purple with a boxspring, cotton sheets, or pillows full of stuffing. The Purple is worth the hype. I've been sleeping on it for 25 days and it makes a huge difference. Get the mattress, and get the rest of the system. If your not sure about the whole thing, buy one part and see how much of a change it makes, even if the rest of your system is lousy. I highly recommend it to everyone.

7 nights in... And really happy with our mattress! It works exactly like the commercial. We got one for the guest room and our son - our son loves it and both guests who have slept on it have said how comfortably they slept. We recommend these for sure!

I bought this mattress in hopes that I could actually get a good night's sleep for once. But that has not happened yet do to the extreme pain I have in my legs, feet hips and hands. It is a little better than my last mattress and seems very comfortable but just hasn't really helped me yet.
