Got the original purple in a queen size. I am a sode sleeper, 200 lbs, broad shoulders. My partner is a back, side, stomach sleeper, 130lbs, wider at the hips. The shipping was easy and fast. Set up wasn't too difficult, but these are heavy mattresses and a bit unwieldy to move around once out of the package. The issues I had with the mattress were some of the same documented in various reviews. 1) as a side sleeper the mattress caused my arms to fall asleep. 2) my partner as a side, back, stomach sleeper it wasn't firm enough and says her lower back was a sore after sleeping longer periods. I think the purple hybrid would likely solve these two issues for us, however the cost is a bit prohibitive. I do qualify for financing a 2nd mattress, and if I get a hybrid will review my contract with the original purple. After the trial I gifted the mattress to my brother in law. He and his partner had the same issues, but we both liked the cooling factor of the purple, especially during the summer months.

It's nice, but not worth *that* much money. It's very comfortable, but I think memory foam beds are better or the same for way less. I'd buy the more fancy ones at the price of this one, I'd imagine they're probably better and possibly worth 1k for full size like this one was. I'd have to try both side by side to be sure. But this model in particular seems overpriced so far. I ordered two types of pillows, I hope they're less disappointing than the mattress

I love how comfortable my bed is now. Not a joke, not an exaggeration - it really is the best sleep I've ever gotten. We've had the Purple Mattress for about 5 months now and haven't had a tossing or turning night since. I love it, I recommend it, and I'm going to buy another one soon!

The purple technology is not quite as great as I had hoped. I had been saving up to get this bed, but unfortunately I had a bad experience with my sleep. At first I tried the 2" Hybrid version, but it was too firm, so I switched to the 2" standard purple mattress, but same issue. Now purple only offers 3" & 4" Hybrid at a premium. I think maybe I would like the 3" or even 4", but not willing to pay that much. I wish they continued to offer standard mattress with 3" or 4" option. The Hybrid brings the price up too much.

I honestly love my Purple mattress. It is the most comfortable mattress I have ever laid on. I was worried at first because I am 110 lbs and read that it isn't that good for smaller people -- however, I have not have any trouble. I sink into the polymer just fine. It's really awful getting out of bed in the morning because it's so comfortable! :) However, my boyfriend, who is 225 lbs, has been complaining about some lower back pain. He sleeps on his stomach and the squishy polymer doesn't quite give him the support he needs, I guess. I told him to start sleeping with a pillow under his hips to see if it'll help, or to try changing his sleeping position. I'm not giving my Purple up, that's for sure! I will also try buying the pillow to see if that helps. So personally, for me, I adore the mattress, but he's not quite as in love with it as I am. Whatever, you're getting five stars from me, Purple! P.S. The sheets are incredible. Don't hesitate, just buy them.

Now after sleeping on the purple for several nights I have run across that it is to soft. It acts like a memory foam and I sink into a hole and have to wake up to move out of it. I have tried buying a platform base to fix the issue and that does not work, but since I've gotten rid of my bed I'm guess I'm stuck with the purple now.I'm not satisfied but have no other option but to keep the purple. Unless you have another alternative

After previously purchasing two of your chair cushions, I figured why not try the mattress. My husband is a paraplegic and if the mattress is too soft it's hard for him to transfer on and off. While the Purple mattress seems to be soft to the touch, laying on it proved otherwise. It was neither too firm nor too soft. We've only had it for a couple of weeks but can already tell how much better we sleep!

I love the mattress and I get you when you make it known that it is pertinent to NOT have a spring box to lay the mattress on. For the price of the mattress, and the fact that you've been giving away platforms, I wish I had waited to buy so I can get a new bed platform instead of the free bedsheets that had a tiny rip and water stain! I was going to return the sheets but the rip was fixable and the water stain was washable. I'm still a little annoyed at that, but even got more annoyed knowing that had I waited I'd have had a free bed platform instead of the sheets. Don't get me wrong, the sheets are wonderful. But my mattress is still lying on the floor bec i haven't had time to buy a platform. GRRRR I'm still annoyed and it's been 3 days. The mattress is a little pricey and there are so many competitions out there now, that I wish I waited to do better research. I still have a few days into the 100 nights, to figure out if I want to keep the mattress.

We bought a purple mattress because I wanted to explore other mattress options due to low back pain that seemed related to our prior memory foam mattress. It seems to have helped with that. However, my husband is not very happy with the way the edge compresses when he sits down on the bed. We are also not thrilled with the appearance with the bed made. The mattress does not fit neatly on our platform bed compared to the prior mattress which had a very square profile when viewed from the side. The prior mattress fit our 81.5" long platform quite tightly. The Purple queen mattress measures according to the specifications (80" at its longest), but because it sort of billows out in the middle (think what happens if you press down on a marshmallow) which creates it's "longest" length, it is effectively smaller than 80" at the top surface. Due to this it fits "small" and there is a 2-3" gap between the headboard (which also slants back) and the mattress which causes pillows to slip down between them. We would rather have the gap at the top (which we can hide with pillows) than at the bottom. So, if I could have a Purple mattress that measured 82", I think I would be happier with way it fits our bed and the appearance. Functionally, it is accomplishing the desired goal so we will keep it, but I do wish it fit the bed better and looked tidier with a comforter tucked in around it.

I have been wanting to try the Purple mattress for a few years and my wife and I recently made the switch/upgrade. We could not be more pleased with the support and comfort level of the mattress. p.s. Do yourself a favor and get the pillows and sheets. You will be AMAZED and your body with thank you!
