Have tried a number of memory foam mattresses - they were either too soft or too firm ... this one is just right and adjusts to both me and my husband who weighs 2x my weight. It gives great support for a curvy figure too - no matter if you are a belly, side or back sleeper! This is the PERFECT answer! LOVE THIS MATTRESS! Believe the commercials!

The bed is very comfortable. I typically have back pain when waking up (and generally all the time) However, since getting the Purple bed my back pain has not vanished, but is significantly better. I don't wake up in pain. I still shift throughout the night, but I can tell a significant difference in my sleeping habits. At the same cost as many other beds on the market....I highly recommend the Purple bed.

We recently replaced a Serta iComfort that lasted only 3 years before feeling like it was sinking, with a Purple and we love it! It definitely feels different than any other bed and for some reason I find myself just wanting to push on it. I guess the feeling is very satisfying. I have scoliosis and neck pain from a past injury. My neck still has issues so I'm sure some of it is pillow related but its not nearly as bad as before and my back and hips no longer hurt in the mornings. We invested in the Purple mattress protector and sheet set as well. I think they all work well together to do the job! Even if the stretchy sheets are a bit weird to get used to lol.

I bought this from a third party retailer two years ago and it's a great mattress. Much more comfortable than a memory foam, and lighter than a deluxe. I will tell everyone though that if you buy this make sure to GET A MATTRESS PROTECTOR. We made the mistake of not getting a mattress protector because we didn't realize we would need one, and after two years our mattress had a hard lump in the middle and has started to sag quite badly. But unfortunately we're not able to qualify for a replacement under the 10-year warranty because of stains on the mattress that could have been prevented by a mattress protector. So now we're stuck with an expensive, sagging mattress. It's not so bad for now and hopefully we'll have the funds to purchase a replacement within the year, but felt compelled to share as this was never mentioned to us when we purchased.

The Original Purple mattress seemed nicely made, but we were used to a bed with a 3 inch memory foam topper. We opted for the Original over the New Purple because of cost. After sleeping on the Original for about 30 days both my husband and I were not sleeping well at all. We're both side sleepers and our limbs were going numb throughout the night. We found ourselves constantly tossing and turning to get or try to stay comfortable so we just weren't sleeping well. We may have liked the New Purple more, but for our size bed the cost difference was over $1400 to add a 3" memory foam topper. To us, that just wasn't worth it.

I was assured by Purple this mattress was for ppl. W/ lower back pain. I have had this mattress over 6 mos now and my back pain is the worst it ever was. I get up each morning in excruciating pain. I can hardly walk from my bed to the bathroom. It is getting worse each day. I know it's the mattress because when I get up and walk around my back gets better. After I sleep I wake up w/ extreme pain back, hips & neck. It's way too soft I sink into it. I can't even sit on it w/ out causing lower back pain. It's crippling me. I can't even turn over in bed w/ this mattress I am in agonizing pain. If you can suggest another mattress I will buy it. I can't do this anymore. Please Help me I beg you.

My wife and I were both waking up hurting, she has chronic back pain and was hurting to the point it was tough getting out of bed. Not to mention waking up sweating. We ordered the queen size purple about a month ago and have slept better, wake up with little to no pain, and no longer sweat while sleeping. We loved it so much we pre-ordered the pillows and can't wait for them to arrive. Thanks purple your beds are absolutely amazing!!!

I have been a Purple customer since January of 2018 I have had two purple mattresses, the pillow, the sheets, and mattress protector so to say I love Purple is an understatement. I'm a heavy girl with a back injury and i can't say enough how much purple has helped me get a full night sleep! Originally I ordered the first mattress and it was fantastic for about a year and a half but it began to lose its shape. I put in a warranty claim and, I worked with the customer support team and not only did they let me upgrade to the Purple 3 they had the new mattress delivered to my house (and the old mattress removed). Purple has a customer for life with me. I love their products, their support is top-notch and my sleep has just been fantastic! Now if they could just create a body pillow.....

It took us several nights to find the right balance with this new mattress. We originally tried the Purple mattress on our box spring for 3 nights and decided it was too firm. We then went back to our original mattress to see if we truly needed a new mattress. After sleeping on our old mattress for two nights we swapped out the box spring and put our original mattress under the new Purple mattress (using our old mattress as a "box spring". This seemed to make the Purple mattress soft enough for us to enjoy a quality night of sleep without waking up with back or shoulder pain. I have to say that we are not overly thrilled with the Purple mattress but we are slowly adjusting to the new feel.

I wanted to replace a tri-layer poly-foam mattress that I had been sleeping on for about 15 years. It is a great mattress and provided for cool restful sleep. Even with some perceived center foam compression, I mostly awoke rested and with no aches or pains. I would guess on a firmness scale it is a 6.5. I fit the average size recommendation between 145-185 pounds. I am a side and back sleeper. We started searching for latex foam as a replacement mattress. After a couple of months of searching, came across the Purple mattress and decided to give it a try. We wanted the new Purple mattress but they don't make it in a double size. So I settled on the Original Purple. It arrived when scheduled. Unpackaging it was a challenge because the bag cutter was not included. There also were no instructions. I had watched the video so we knew what to do. Set up was easy. I emailed Customer Service about the missing cutter and received no reply. Absolutely none. Not even a "did you manage get the mattress out of the bag without damage"? I doubt two lesser fit persons would not have been able to do that safely without a bag cutter and damaging the mattress. I had read the website information and reviews. I did not order the foundation because we had one that was in good condition, sturdy, not sagging, made of wood slats and springs. I did order the sheets because of the recommendation that the mattress would be "soft" with regular sheets. That I expect was wasted money - I should have waited to see if I needed them. After 30 days, I have not had one day without back ache and stiffness that lasts ALL day. That is not a good testimonial from someone that has never had back issues and stiffness. I can't even exercise or stretch it out. The bed is just too soft. I would suggest a 4.5 - 5. Even with good sol' cotton sheets, it is still too soft. I have noticed, according to my fitness tracker (which is by no means super scientific) my deep sleep has dropped from about 15% to less than 5% since sleeping on the Purple mattress. Some days it is 0 even though I have slept 6-8 hours I have ordered the foundation hoping that will help. If not, I won't be keeping the mattress. If yes, I will come back and update this post.
