We liked the purple but didn't love it. The honeycomb feel was difficult to adjust to. We started getting body impressions that made stomach sleeping difficult and we'd wake with back pains. It's a great bed that works for some, but for us unfortunately it wasn't our answer.

I bought the original Purple mattress back in 2017 after trying a few memory foam mattresses and loved it. I kept it for a couple of years and eventually gave it to a friend when I moved in with my fiancée since she had just bought a new mattress (Tuft & Needle) and didn't want to get rid of it. I slept okay on it at first so I figured it was fine. A couple of months ago, I was no longer able to sleep through the night on the T&N, so I decided to get another Purple. A quick note, I'm about 5'11" and 180lbs, and primarily sleep on my side. Despite having owned one already, I'll still say that buying it again was one of the best purchases ever. I didn't even realize how much pain I had in my hips when waking up on the T&N until my first night on the new Purple. Just as with the first one, I: - Fall asleep faster - Wake up less frequently in the night - Have no pain anywhere when waking up I love this mattress. I have no plans to ever own a different brand of mattress - it's that good. Bonus for the super friendly support team that helped me exchange one of my Harmony pillows.

I bought from the website. While i received the mattress pad when stated, i did not get the mattress for another week. Both were scheduled to arrive on the 6th. It wasn't until I contacted them that I learned that they were having shipping issues. I felt that as soon as they realized this, they should have contacted me. The first night on the mattress was ruff. I put a 2 in gel infused topper on it and now i feel so much better. I'm a tosser between back and side but slept straight thru the night....first time in a year.

Everything was wonderful from ease of website and ordering to the mattress! My husband and I prefer a softer bed so we were happy to find it was such a soft squishy but supportive as well mattress. We ordered the original purple because we are both under the 240lbs remendation that if u are over that the hybrids are better.

We have always had Sleep Number beds and tried to order another one and the customer service was so bad we cancelled. We thought we would try Purple and we love it. It's so much better than sleep Number as it seems to control temperature, support and you don't feel the other person moving. The only thing it doesn't do is keep my husband from snoring

I just got my Purple Queen Mattress last Friday, May 4th, 2018. The packaging is VERY GOOD, it was easy to install, it is vacuum packed and shipped, get the Mattress out of the Purple Bag, then remove the plastic seal wrapper, then carefully using the Purple too provided to you, break the plastic seal bag, then magic starts to happen. Your Purple Mattress starts growing to the final size. I just had big time spinal surgery and I was afraid that this Mattress was going to be too soft. It is PERFECT, FIRM, yet GENTLE on your back. The better part of it is you DO NOT SWEAT because the top part of the mattress has the Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ which is like a panel that Breathes and NEVER gets Hot nor Cold. I tried the most expensive Foamy competitor mattress and you start sweating in a short period of time. Foam DOES NOT breath. The Customer Service from The Purple Mattress Company is EXCELLENT, they are INFORMATIVE, NO NONSENSE, THEY LISTEN TO YOUR NEEDS, THEY MAKE GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS and MOST IMPORTANLY they ARE VERY FRIENDLY (rare in today's rush world). After my surgery, I am SLEEPING like a baby in this WONDERFUL MATTRESS. Today, Monday, May 7th I received the two pillows and the Liquid-Proof Purple Mattress Protector. The pillows even though they are heavy, they keep position and they are VERY COMFORTABLE and you DO NOT SWEAT. They are made of the Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ which breaths very well keeping your head DRY!! The Purple Mattress Protector you have to use this to understand why to order it. I ordered this not really thinking it was worth the money...my original queen size bed was nice when I purchased it 11 years ago, but think it was time for something new since it's seen better days. This bed came just as advertised, minus a few scuffs on the outer casing, but after opening it and laying out...it was fine. The height of this bed is way less than my former mattress which I thought would be a concern since my bed frame sides came very close to the mattress. Not a problem so far...it's actually a perfect height. First few nights sleep, my back ached and thought this was a bad purchase, but then a few weeks went by, then a month...guess I'm keeping it now since I don't notice the pain any longer. My back feels much better, and think it just had to get used to the new bed. Thanks for making this awesome mattress!! Just wish I had gotten the free Royal Purple cushion that some had gotten...not a biggie, just saying.

I've been sleeping on a tempur-type mattress since 2011 and when I couldn't deal with how broken down it had gotten I went shopping. As someone who has back, hip, knee, and neck pain I was very cognizant of reviews and return policies. This mattress has been a godsend, before I was barely getting sleep due to my neck and back pain but now laying on the Purple mattress is like laying on a firm, supportive, cloud. Even my wife loves how it feels, and she hates firmer mattresses! The test material they give you with the mattress is still on my desk actually, it's really useful for holding your phone up and fun to squish!

We were on a memory foam mattress that we never liked but was so expensive that we were stuck with it. After knee surgery I was so uncomfortable I bought the Purple and it was near instant relief. My back felt better and I wasn't so trapped because you sleep on top of the bed instead of in it like the foam, it was much easier to roll over and make my knee comfortable. It was such a good buy we ordered 2 pillows from the Kickstarter offer. We should be receiving them in February.

I'm a side sleeper. I read other side sleeper reviews saying it wasn't right for them, but I'm stubborn. I've realized if one is on their side, there's more pounds per inch squishing the gel matrix. The gel when flat is actually rather hard. This is making me wake up sore. Similar to sleeping on a hardwood floor with two blankets under you, theres cushion, but not enough. If the matrix was twice or three times deeper, then i belive i wouldn't hit the flat spot. I'm 6'4" and 210 pounds semi-athletic build. When I tried sleeping on my back it was a much better experience. I also have an adjustable frame and it feels good sitting up while reading.
