I love my original purple mattress, i have had it for a month and so far I have had the best sleep in years. I tried them all at a mattress Firm location and although i think the two would have been perfect i ended up going with the original and glad I did. I love the meduim to firm feel as i feel it really helps support my whole body. I am a back/side sleeper and it works great for me. My partner loves to sleep on his stomach and used to wake up drenched in sweat each morning. But that is a thing of the past as the mattress does sleep very cool. Hoping that during the summer months the bed will really help. Lookong forward to hopefully many years with this mattress.

My husband and I bought this mattress a little more than a year ago, shortly after getting married and moving in together. He sleeps deeply and restfully pretty much on any surface and under any noise or light conditions, so no complaints on his part. I however, have insomnia, so achieving restful sleep takes a lot of tweaking of my environment, and it also doesn't help that I have back pain due to a herniated disc on my lower back, which is why I was excited about getting this mattress. I've always preferred firm mattresses because the soft ones cause a lot of pain in my back since they sink inwards and provide no support. This = restless nights. But the firm ones weren't perfect either, because while my hip and shoulders would make contact with the mattress, my waist would end up floating and it was kind of an awkward position. So all the advertising with Goldilocks and the "just right" mattress really spoke to me, I figured the Purple mattress would be ideal. But after a year and a half of sleeping on it, I can't say I'm pleased with my purchase, and I really regret it because it was very expensive and I can't afford to change our mattress. The main problem is: for my body type, it doesn't work as advertised. The largest part of my body is the hip and butt area, and that area tends to sink into the mattress, therefore not aligning my spine. If I lay flat on the mattress WITHOUT a pillow, it seems like it -could- work... but then my neck is floating unsupported, causing neck and shoulder pain. Back pain? No. Neck pain? Obviously. If I use a pillow that is firm and thick enough to support my neck (not super thick, only enough to sit between my neck and the mattress), it ends up also lifting my head enough that it raises my upper body along with it, therefore causing my hip area to sink even more than it already was (because again, it's the largest part of my body), therefore making me sink into the mattress just like soft mattresses used to. It's almost like a reclining position, but this downward posture puts a lot of pressure on my disc and also makes it so my waist often wakes up a little numb (I'm guessing because of lack of circulation from extended contact with the mattress? Not sure). Neck pain? No. Back pain? Horrible. I've also tried using a squishy pillow, smushed it around to get some support under the neck, placed it so that my head doesn't rest as much on the pillow so as to not add enough height that it messes with the alignment of the spine like the previous pillow did... that squishy pillow just isn't firm enough to support my neck. Back pain? No. Neck pain? Absolutely. And I've tried every other combination of soft plus firm pillow possible, with no success. So every night I go to bed and have to choose which kind of pain I'll have that night, pain on my lower back, or pain on my neck. In addition to not being able to afford a new mattress, I also can't afford to try every super advanced, $40 pillow on the market, in hopes that at least one of them would work. So yeah, my husband loves it, no complaints, but I personally wouldn't recommend it because my body type did not align with the mattress as advertised. Might've been "just right" for Goldilocks, but not for me. Lastly, as for the supposed cooling effect and airflow of the mattress, neither of us have experienced anything of the sort, even sleeping with the AC and the fan on, and with nice sheets made out of this sporty cooling fabric. But there's two more variables to take into account 1) our bed has drawers underneath it, so no airflow, 2) the floor is carpeted (can't help it, apartment). So yeah, no cooling at all, but it may be partially due to our environmental conditions.

I am very happy with the queen-size Purple mattress I purchased last fall. I have a lot of back and hip pain, so thought I would take a chance on something different than the usual. The Purple mattress had not eliminated my pain, but has helped a lot!

Pro- The bed was delivered quickly. Cons- The foam bed was extremely uncomfortable. The price of the hybrid is too high But worst of all don't expect to see your refund promptly. I returned the bed on April 20th they say they processed it on April 21st it is now May 10th. Would not recommend trying this company if you expect to replace it with another bed unless you have the money to pay for both.

I am very happy with my Purple mattress. I am chronically ill and have a lot of pain through out my body. My husband has back problems. We both really like this mattress and are glad that we took a chance on it. The 100 night guarantee is great, however we knew before 100 nights was over that we were definitely keeping the mattress. We both sleep much better on this mattress than others we have had in the past. We have recommended the Purple mattress to many people. Thanks Purple for making a mattress worth buying.

We are a mess of back problems. My husband suffers from sciatica and a ruptured disk. I have scoliosis. This bed has been a lifesaver! It's like sleeping on a Cloud. I never feel movement when my husband gets up at 3 am. I will say I did not like waiting 30-40 minutes the 2 times I called.

Past experience with mattress I have had standard spring mattress. Somma Waveless mattress. 2 memory foam mattress. All mattress state they "sleep cool" or some line like that but I always felt hot. This is the first mattress I have had that does sleep cool. The spring mattress sag. One memory foam mattress got moldy. The second memory foam mattress was very hard & I had shoulder problems for years & never knew it was due to the mattress. I no longer wake up sweating or with my arms numb. My shoulders still have some problems but I would say its reduced 70-80% now. It did take 2 or 3 weeks for my body to adjust to it so if you do get one be sure to give it time.

After my father's passing, my mom started living with us, and she has chronic back pain. After going to several mattress stores, they couldn't deliver the mattress we liked in a timely manner because it was the holiday season. They gave us a 5 week delay. I purchased purple online and within 3 days we had the mattress outside of our door, delivered. She loves the mattress. She says, it is the best and she no longer has back pain anymore.

We have used the same mattress since we were married. Both my wife and I had recently started having problems with a numb feeling in our arms and problems with our lower backs. I was introduced to purple through a youtube video and I researched the Purple Mattress for about a year before I decided to purchase one. When the purple arrived we were skeptical, however as I opened the large purple bag and placed it on the bedframe and when I laid down the feeling that I felt in my back was different than I had ever felt. I honestly called for my wife to come and try it out. We have had such great sleeping experience on the purple. I no longer have the numb sensation in my arms and my lower back feels amazing. I wish I would have bought this bed years ago. Thank you purple for giving my sleep back.

Still think my body is adjusting to the new mattress from my old latex mattress. My back is a little sore, but I think that is also due to my pillow-purple pillow is on the way soon-so hopefully this will alleviate this issue. Love the initial feel when I first get into bed and that I am still cool when I wake up. Wish I could have got the purple sheets free with all that I've ordered as my jersey sheets are just ok. I'm only 1.5 weeks on the new mattress and an hopeful that in a few more weeks I'll have no more back aches. Love the advertising and the outside the box thinking with the products!
