The backside of the razor head has a trimmer blade for more precise shaving. The blades are designed to help prevent skin irritation. The easy grip handle is slip resistant and comfortable to hold and maneuver. The blades are quick and easy to replace. I have used this several times for my legs and bikini area and have gotten a close shave with no bumps or razor burn.

Well let me tell you that the Gillette Venus for Pubic Hair and Skin, Women's Razor is absolutely fantastic. The design is smooth and sleek to the touch. It flows in the direction of your hand. When I shave near the pubic area or under my armpits, I take extra caution. With this razor it’s like it is doing double duty to protect me. No cuts, nicks or scrapes. A pleasure to use and I feel so silky fresh after. I would definitely recommend this razor to anyone looking for a close protective shave. A total 10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Venus Razor for Pubic Hair and Skin was just ok. I didn't get the complete clean razor feeling when shaving. I didn't feel like it grabbed the hair as easily, without pulling it, and it didn't get close enough to the skin in my opinion. I loved the sleekness of the razor and how it looked as if it were made of great quality. It is definitely nice to see on your sink as a display. The packaging was kind of basic but the pinkish color box was pretty. I am glad that this razor comes with 2 refills so you don't have to worry about rushing out to purchase another one when it is time to use it again. Overall, I liked this razor, but am not sure if I will repurchase it.

The irritation defense bar works as stated, and the Precision trimmer on the back of the blades makes the tough areas easier. Gynecologist and dermatologist tested assured me of getting a great product!

The protective bar also helps with softening your skin and I like the way the handle is shaped as it is easy to use while standing up in the shower. It's a nice razor for a women to use when trying to get rid of hair near her private area and leaves the skin feeling very smooth afterwards. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone needing to get rid of hair in their private area and wanting smooth skin after use.

I liked that it doesn’t irritate at all, but I think it is not very effective, specially if you are used to razors with multiple blades. I love the design and color, but hair gets stuck in between and it’s very hard to remove, even with pressure water. The defense bar is great and it helps a lot, doesn’t fade instantly like other brands.

And it works great on my armpits and legs as it maneuvers very well. As an added bonus, this razor looks nice too. I like the fact that I now just buy refill cartridges instead of the whole razor, so less trash. I also appreciate the fact that there is no plastic in the packaging.
