It took me a minute to pair it after I updated my tablet to the current iOS system. After buying the wrong pencil, I went back to Walmart to trade it in to get the right one compatible to my tablet. After syncing the pencil to my tablet I immediately began to write and to learn how I can write anywhere on my tablet, and it would print the font for me as if I was typing it. I’m still learning all the features that comes with the pencil. Thank you.

Just received this when I bought the iPad, Keyboard, iPen package deal. Would be nice to see even the simplest of explanations for usage of it, but as is often the case these days, instructions are for us to seek out. I wasn’t sure whether you were to remove the tip for use, or... well, just make it up as you go. Currently I’m using an older iPad mini to write this, and already I miss using the newer version BECAUSE of the ease in using it along with the iPen/ keyboard/iPen. There’s a lot I don’t know about using the iPen (ie: using for actually writing in ‘Notes’), but I am looking forward to learning more. It’s been cool to tap on screen and have it to circle words, rather than using the awful ‘nibs’ on pens (those made for this purpose). It surpasses that particular method of marking the screen, by leaps & bounds! Apple - pricier than it should be, but I like it so far.

Had the 1st generation Pencil with an older iPad, and it could be a hassle to remember to charge, not lose the cap, keep paired. This new Pencil eliminates all those issues. It securely sits in a tray on the right side of my new iPad Pro 11” where it stays charged, always paired and ready to use, and no cap to lose! Works perfectly. And you can’t beat Walmart’s price. Highly recommend!

I love this pencil so much. Used my sisters gen 1 pencil for awhile, so meh. The magnetism in this pencil double tapping features, the sleek grip, etc. So worth the upgrade. Also! My hand got sore often with the gen 1 pencil. This pencil has a flat edge that takes away lot of the soreness for me (I am an artist who often spends hours on digital pieces).

First off if you have an iPad Pro I highly recommend getting the Apple Pencil! I got my 2022 iPad Pro this past December and though I wanted the pencil, I just couldn’t see spending that amount on it. I am so glad I finally gave in and bought one while they were on sale at our local Walmart recently. I love how easy it is to use. I was shocked to open it brand new from the box and have it already at 60% charge and how very simple it is to connect to. There’s no need for any extra chargers or worrying about it dying because it automatically charges up when it’s attached to the iPad, which is accomplished magnetically! The weight is a super plus for me as I love the heavier weight feel in my hands and so it also serves as a fidget for me as I think or write! I wish it had more capabilities as far as using it for navigating but for handwriting text across the board this is the best to get. From the first time I tried writing with it it instantly converted my handwriting into text with about 95% accuracy. That’s very impressive to me as I am left handed and usually struggle with stylus type accessories due to my hand dragging across everything I write however that is not an issue with the Apple Pencil. Although it may not have seemed like an essential accessory at first, I can’t see myself ever using ipad without it. I’m truly impressed and I highly recommend purchasing!

Really awful. This is the third one Ive bought this year and everyone of them stopped working. I had my neighbors granddaughter who teaches courses in iPod use look at and try them, and she couldnt see that Id done anything wrong. I cant be the only buyer who has had this problem. I will never spend my hard earned money on this product again.

Despite all the poor reviews (likely people are buying the pencil not realizing it’s only compatible with slightly newer iPads with the magnetic pencil charger on the side) this really is a great product connects to my iPad perfectly works well and does exactly as I needed and yes this is an actual Apple product don’t buy off brand people

When I open and placed on my iPad it was at 60%. 2 hours later it was at 63%. An hour later it was back to 60%. The pencil made connection to the iPad, but it did not work on the screen. Had to return it to local Walmart. I thought I had purchased the incorrect one at first. But after triple checking it was the correct one.

Its Apple. It’s too expensive. But we love them. And this is my 4th one because I use it all day long, literally, and drop it 3-4 times a day. So they should have a frequent buyer plan or something. That being said, it’s very durable for how much it looks like it isn’t.

Until it broke completely and would connect but I wasn’t able to use it on my iPad. Of course jumped thru hoops with Apple, who did their trouble shooting… twice, then Apple sent me to Best Buy- who wasted my time and told me, “it doesn’t work” lol well omg no kidding! And then advised me that’s literally all they could do ha… good times! One expensive fridge magnet!
