As a student I take a lot of notes on my iPad. I had the first generation apple pencil for about 2 years but when I updated to a newer iPad invested in the 2nd generation Apple Pencil and the convenience of the charging right on the side of the iPad magnetically is top tier. I love my 2nd gen pencil and am so thankful it makes navigating school so much easier.

works good and feels better than the old generation. the only thing is with the design choice for that flat piece you can tap it to switch to the eraser or whatever you have set as and im always clicking it by accident. thats my only issue with it but thats apples fault.

I bought this for my daughter to draw with, it's amazing to use. I have nothing to compare it to since I haven't used any other kinds but we love it. I was mostly impressed with how it's pressure sensitive and can be used like a real pencil, pen or paint brush. I will buy another if I need to for any reason, whether I get another ipad or if it happens to break.

I bought this item as a birthday present for my daughter. She really enjoys art and wants to learn how to animate. My wife want encourage her to continue with her passion, so we decided to invest and purchase the Apple Pencil so that she can expand her horizon.

It worked in the beginning. Had it not long at all and the double tap gesture on the pencil itself would not work. Attempted troubleshooting in every way imaginable and it would not seem to work. Would still connect, write, erase, do anything the way it was supposed to. For some reason it would not let me no longer do the double tap near the tip of the pencil. Yes, ive had these before. I tried restarting the iPad, checked if the gesture setting was on, changed the setting and back, disconnected and reconnected the pen, and even reset my settings (which was a last resort stated from apple) and nothing worked. I do not believe this is in the fault of Walmart, but in apple themselves. I rely heavily on Apple and their pens, and ive bought many (unfortunately, because they would not work for very long) but for it to not work in a shorter time than usual is strange…

I bought this for $99 and I came here to give this device a 5 star review only to be greeted with the price being increased by $30 to $130. Just no. I can’t recommend this. It’s a piece of plastic that cost at most $20 to make. Very probably much less. Greed much?

This pencil does not work for Ipad. It only works with the pro, air and mini. Its a very poor decision on their part to make this "2nd generation" that doesn't even work for the Ipad. The 1st generation works for Ipad so you would assume that this 2nd generation would be the same, just a better version. It's a little misleading. At least Walmart's returns process was very easy and fast, and they had the replacement 1st generation pen shipped to me in 2 days.

It works well with my ipadpro 11(2nd gen), connecting through bluetooth and charging while attached to the ipad with a magnetic charging strip built in. I am disappointed it does not work with earlier ipad, or iphone. I am also disappointed that it does not come with an extra stylus tip replacement. I don't really trust the magnetic attachment to be secure enough to prevent loss. Using it to fill out forms, etcetera is not easy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have an Apple Pencil which got lost. I was unable to purchase a new one until I saw the price reduction on the website. The quality of the Apple Pencil is very good, and I use it every day.

I was doubting at first rather or not to buy it but it came in useful %26 convenient. Instead of charging of the side %26 on the USB port it can be charged on the side of the tablet. It works wonders on Procreate too. Besides the Ipad 5th gen I enjoyed the pen too. And, I'm not an apple user.
