We have created an Apple HomeKit based smart home and we primarily purchased the HomePod to accept Siri commands to control our home. The microphones do a much better job at picking up our commands over our iPhones or iPads. The HomePod also has great sound and we do use it to play music. We like the fact that we can remotely have it turn on and off while away from home for a little added security.

Bought this as a gift for my husband The sound is amazing and it works with his IPhone. He loves it, (as well as our kids). I personally don’t like Siri to always listening in when we’re not using it, so easy to unplug her.

Both two of these mohave a stereo experience in my living room. Makes it sound so much fuller and richer.

Apple discontinued the HomePod but I wanted a second one to pair with the one I had in Space gray. Apple only had white left. I was really happy to find this though Sam’s Club. I have a pair set up with my tv and the sound is really great and stronger than the mini.

$30 off from Sam’s Club is a good find. I started my Apple Music 3 months free trial. I like it. The sound is nice. I move it around with me; such as working in garage on a project for two hours. Great to have HomePod there. Or use it upstairs then move it downstairs. Depending on where the people are.

I bought this about a week ago. Mostly interested in the quality of the sound as reviewed by others. I'm not disappointed. Sounds great. East to move around to other rooms and it automatically adjusts sound for that room. I'm not too much into the home automation, but maybe one day I will and this would be able to do that. I know I can always count on Apple to make a great product and keep improving it over time.

Absolutely love it! The quality is insanely high. The sound really does completely fill a whole room. The microphone is also amazing, I set the volume of a song to 100%, walked about 15 feet away from the speaker, faced my back to it and said Hey Siri in a regular speaking voice and it heard me!

I purchased the HomePod as an alternative to paying a monthly fee to stream your own music from the cloud. I had high hopes for being able to play my music library directly from my laptop. Sadly, using Airplay and streaming directly to the HomePod from iTunes on my PC is not stable - at worst it worked for 30 seconds, at best 15 minutes. I returned the HomePod (thanks Sam’s for making that so easy), and back to researching a new option.

If you're expecting mind blowing sound you're in for a shocking surprise. Don't expect a full rich room filling sound of base, highs, lows, and midrange tones. This isn't a top end Bose or Sonos system or anything near comparable. However what it offers is clear, clean, and bright sound. Siri automation is capable but far lagging behind Alexa and Google. I find for what you get it is a little pricy overall but you are paying for the quality of Apple. Quality it is but you can find as good or better sound with a more capable digital assistants for less money. Would I recommend the Apple HomePod? Maybe if you know what you're getting ahead of time and have a house full of Apple products which will pair well together with it. If not I'd probably suggest something else unless you're just dead set on it.
