Real Chicken and Turkey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat loves the chicken and turkey taste. I like that it helps control hairballs and manages weight. I like that it isn't loaded with fillers and has real chicken. I like taking a proactive stance in my kitties' health, and this helps me do it. It is also veterinarian recommended.

What a difference!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving this product(for free to review)from Iams, I wasn't convinced it would be a truly better choice than the other product we have used for years. I was not paid to review this product and only give truthful and hopefully helpful reviews. I give honest reviews about real products and how they benefit my family. We have a very large family of humans and furbabies. We have 5 dogs(Ashe,Bella, Chewie, Dakota, & Ruby), 3 cats(Scruffy(king of hair balls), Tiny(not so tiny), and Fiona), and 1 bunny who just so happens to be a cancer survivor. I've only heard positive things about Iams and since my husband brings anything he finds home, I've had to tighten the purse strings to ensure everyone gets fed. We've got one cat, Scruffy, who seems to hack up furballs on a daily basis. He was a stray and has been checked out by the vet. The vet said it would get better as he acclimated to having daily meals and not having to hunt for food. Fast forward 3 years and he still hacks up a couple times a week. We started transitioning his food out and he has been on Iams exclusively for about 4 days. Since that change I've noticed the lack of hair balls waiting for me to clean up. Tiny has started to arrive early for her meals, not that she missed any before, but she truly seems excited about the new taste. Fiona has a 'yes I'm a princess' personality, and doesn't seem to care either way, as long as her meal arrives promptly. The difference I have seen so far with the lack of hairballs has been great. At this rate I we will be making a permanent switch just for the lack of hairballs alone! Tiny who really could use a diet plan, seems to love the flavor and I look forward to seeing what it can do for her. The fact that she looks forward to her next bowl is a great indicator that it won't get left in her bowl. That has been a fear of mine when thinking about switching her to 'diet' food. I also like knowing they are getting all the essential nutrients they need along the way. At this rate, the little extra expense is well worth not having to scrap up the hairballs every morning! I hope this helps and I will let you know what happens with Tiny's waist line!

Seems to help

I usually go with generic brands for much everything but this stuff seems to actually have decent effects. We're cat sitting right now and started feeding the new guy this food and his fur quality drastically improved. From course and oily to smooth and silky.

My car is over weight so I started him on this cat food 6 months ago. I have not seen any hairballs in the last 6 months. He is eating less which is helping him loss weight not sure if it’s because the food fills him up of if he don’t like it. But in the past 6 months I have had to buy 3 bags so I would say he likes it

We alternate between this and the high protein formula for our kitty. We originally had our cat on a much cheaper brand of dry kibble and it was horrible on his digestion he was constantly using the litter box to go Number two. This formula is much gentler on his belly and has a really good ingredients while maintaining a decent price point.

New Formula -not a winner with my cats

I've used Iams Indoor Weight and Hairball dry food with chicken for my cats for years. When I needed a new bag, I went to several stores but all the stores were out of it. Now I realize it isn't being produced any more. Very disappointing! I tried another brand with chicken as the main ingredient but they really don't like it.

The only dry brand my cat eats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iams has been the only dry cat my Persian eats. He seems to turn his nose up at the other brands, and gets "fussy." I haven't noticed a difference in his hairball issues yet, as he had one the other day. We will have to see if this helps him out over time. I CAN say he really enjoys this brand, though.

Cat hates the new larger size

My cat was running out of his favorite cat food so I bought him another bag. Unfortunately they have made the cat food larger in size and he does not care for it anymore. He just looks at me after I give him, probably wondering what happened to his food. So now I have to find another cat food that has smaller pieces like this one used to.
