Dry lacking in so many ways

Mantecadas are not your typical “muffin.” They are a traditional Mexican pastry with their own texture and flavor. If you’re unfamiliar with them, they may seem different from what you expect from a standard muffin. Reviews complaining that the consistency is “odd” are usually just from people who don’t realize this is a different type of baked good. It’s worth understanding the product before judging it by the wrong standard.

Don't understand some of these reviews. They are not corn bread, more of a slightly light vanilla flavor. Yes, not overly moist but not dry either. Delicious if you are looking for a different kind of muffin that is not overly sweet. I thought great with a cup of tea!

These mantecadas are awful; I have never, in the over 40 years of eating mantecadas have I tasted one that was as bad as this one. Truth be told, I never realized anyone could mess up these tasty treats, I've never made them, so don't quote on that, but I can remember getting them from almost anywhere as a kind and they were always so delicious. , That was far from the case with these, so I guess I should thank Sam's Club for tearing down my unrealistic perception of this sweet bread, So thank you, but also shame on you for leaving these on your floor and allowing your customers to purchase this product. This is far from a mantecada, I have no clue what it is, but a mantecada it is not! That's said, I believe my immense disappointment comes from the fact that every product I've ever had from your bakery is FIRE🔥. Every muffin, especially the dbl chocolate and those cinnamon ones 🤤 that were probably made by an angel cuz they are truly what I believe to be a little taste of heaven. 😇 So plz get it together, give those away (cuz you shouldn't waste food), throw away your current recipe and try again cuz you just brutally killed a wonderful part of my childhood.

very dry... they are not like "mexican mantecadas" nobody my home liked them. they are also to big portion. mantecadas are suppose to be smaller like a mini muffin.
