These crowns grow right away and produce strawberries the first year. These are strawberry CROWNS for planting OUTSIDE. They come dry and should be soaked %26 separated before planting the crowns at so level — OUTSIDE. Strawberries are not supposed to be planted in tiny seedling containers under grow lights. 🤦‍♀️

Growing well on my end. I think people need to look at the instructions thoroughly. Rinse off the roots before planting. Allow the roots touch water while growing. I recommend a good organic potting soil to grow this plant. Leave under the sun for at least 6hours daily. If you are starting the roots inside, get the growing light. The first time I tried planting strawberries didn't go well because of two things: bad roots and not following instructions. I'm sorry if you didn't get 40roots. Mine came in 41 and 42. To my amazement, all roots received are growing well.

I wasnt sure what to think at first. I got these roots in March and its almost May and these plants I cared for indoors til now and they are plush beautiful and have berries on them already. Love them ... Thank you

I planted all 40 roots after soaking them overnight in water. This was two weeks ago and they are throwing leaves like crazy in my zone 6b garden. Not sure what's up with all the negative reviews, but they are working great for me!

read the directions and followed them and they all started producing leaves. The less than 5 star review is because I didn't receive 40 roots only 37. the only reason I haven't returned is because they all lived.

Plants all grew, so no problem there. However, this yields the smallest strawberry. I'm talking pea to dime sized strawberries. Taste is not impressive. I know it is not growing conditions, as I have them in a greenhouse and they are all babied. I also ordered the other variety offered here via Sams club, and those strawberries were golf ball sized and delicious. NOT happy with these Ozark "beauties".

I've bought and tried planting these for 3 years straight thinking it was my fault that they never worked. After trying these again and another brand this year I finally had success with the other brand. The roots come too dry and I have never been able to grow a single plant from them. I also usually get 20-25 roots from them instead of 40z most of the roots are very small with about 5 decent sized ones.

The strawberry plant pack looked fine in the sealed package, but most of the plants were already dead when I opened it. Only 2–3 had any life left. none of them survived. It also seems like these sit on the shelf for weeks with no expiration or packed‑on date, so you have no idea how old they are. Not worth it.

I bought the strawberry plants oin late February, separated all the roots , and separately planted all roots the same day. Using a grow light and water for each plant, after three weeks only 4 of 40 survived. I took a photo of all plants as they appeared after three weeks of care. I cannot recommend this product to anyone, and probably should request a refund for this purchase.

Opened package, plants were completely dead and had been for a very long time. will never get plants in sacks again that you can not see the condition they are in.
