I stared at this in the store for what felt like an hour before deciding if I wanted it… I am so glad I did! The tiles and cards are amazing quality and the board itself is great. I put a 40oz Stanley tumbler in one of the cupholders and it doesn't lean to one side while in the water, it stays pretty level. Very much worth the money!

This is such a nice set and you definitely can’t beat the price! The tiles are precious and are a very nice size and weight. I, like some others, received my shipment without tiles. It was obvious that the box was not taped securely enough and the heavy portion of the shipment (tiles) busted the box. I reached out to Sams but they were unable to help other than telling me to just return the item to the club for refund. Then added that they may not take it back because it was missing pieces and it was a seasonal item (despite being listed as returnable on the website). So Sam’s actually only get 3 stars! I then reached out directly to the manufacturer. They were VERY prompt with response and only asked that I send them my Sams receipt and a few pictures of the damaged box. They sent me the missing pieces directly. This was a great company to work with. I hope Sams continues to carry their products.

Everything I didn't know I needed

I was on the fence about purchasing this, but man, we LOVE these tiles!! They're so beautiful, deeply engraved tile faces, and all the other games and cards are beautiful and high quality too! Don't sleep on this!

I have to say, this 3-in-1 game mat is seriously impressive! The foam is extremely thick, and the whole thing feels incredibly well-made. I originally bought it just to use in the pool, but after opening it up and taking a closer look, I realized it works just as beautifully on a tabletop or even spread out on a bed. The playing cards have a really creative design, and I was thrilled to find out they are actually waterproof! On top of that, the mahjong tiles have a nice, heavy, solid feel to them. Overall, I'm just really impressed with the quality and versatility of this entire kit.

This is a beautiful set. The pool mat is large, which makes it easy to play on. I actually use the tiles outside of the pool too...they're that pretty. I did have a few of the tiles where the lemons were coming off a little. Strange...because several friends have this set too and this hasn't happened to theirs. I reached out to their customer service and they replaced those tiles without any problem and were super responsive! Very happy with my purchase!

BUY IT!!!! Wow the quality and everything you get for the price is outstanding! The Sun and Lemon mahjong tiles are SO cute with nice thickness and weight and can be played in the pool or inside. The tiles alone could sell for $200! Also the customer service is OUTSTANDING! I lost a mah jong tile and emailed Shop Joyc and they immediately replied and mailed me the lost tile! So sweet!!

I purchased the pink tropical. It arrived the same day I ordered it and all stated pieces were included. The mat is very vibrant stiff foam with a fun pattern. We have already discovered that players with long fingernails will scuff the mat. I’m giving a 4-star review for two reasons. The instruction book is not waterproof and the game did not come with regular, full-size mahjong player hand cards. Instead, it came with 4 small, “sample hand” cards that are the size of a regular deck of cards. I took my previous year’s mahjong cards to Staples and had them laminated for less than $10. My daughter is a Mahjong instructor and we’re an experienced crowd of players. The tiles are better than I could have hoped for. Very pretty and well-made. They’re acrylic and will not float. The tiles alone are worth the price! I am hopeful the tiles and mat will hold up in the pool water and not lose their detail. Time will tell. We are pleased overall with the game and can’t wait to play!

One of my favorite summer finds of 2026! A novelty hosting hack for pool parties and game nights. Check out my full review, which includes videos of cleaning and usage, on my YouTube channel @ClubReviewGal (enthusiastic customer, not affiliated with Sam's Club).

it's really cool with cards, mahjong tiles, cup holders, bags to hold everything. IT SMELLS TERRIBLE. will make it easy to play mahjong.... once the smell goes away
