If you're new to the Technic line, this is an incredibly rewarding build to start with. It offers a clever, straightforward demonstration of how gears and levers interact. A great design touch is the functioning gearbox lid, which lets you easily peek at the internal mechanisms once the build is complete. My only critique is that the back of the main booster lacks full structural coverage, as enclosing it would make a more realistic active play. Still, it's an absolute must-have build for kids and adults alike.

This is one of the first lego sets that, even in today's economy, I think the price is pretty justified. I spent around 3 hours building watching shows, the build process is relatively straightforward, the final build itself is sturdy, and the mechanism is really well done! The handle it comes with is fine, but you can also manually launch and land the rocket, which is pretty fun to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just traveled to Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida to see the Artemis II rocket on the launchpad for myself, so I was really excited to receive this LEGO Technic Space NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket. It has 632 pieces, ensuring a satisfying build time, and it makes for a great display piece once you’re finished building it. What’s unique about this set is it actually has some mechanical functionality—something a lot of LEGO fans have been asking to see more of in sets. When you turn the crank on the side, the boosters separate from the rocket and you can visualize the rocket in multiple stages. VERY cool!!! As an engineer and space enthusiast, I’m floored by this LEGO set and love the design! The little astronaut LEGO figures are really neat, too. I’ve already purchase two more of this particular Technic set to give as gifts to my nerdy friends for their birthdays because the price is great!

Our nephew wants to become an astronaut so this was absolutely perfect for us and we made a whole weekend of it. I'm talking lots of YouTube videos and lots of space movies whilst building this little space launch system rocket we had a lot of fun doing research, earning more about space launches and rockets and we have something to remember the weekend by. This one's going up on his shelf. He absolutely loves it. The launch moving parts and how it all separates was our favourite part, he was so psyched for the entire weekend and bouncing off the walls wanting more from the technic range… which is on the way! We love it, and most importantly memories were made.

We built one with my brother and started completing another one! There are steps and instructions for each component and it's manageable for multiple session! Would so recommend!

An enjoyable set to build, a direct connection to current real world events and a piece of history. Some nice technic building, a mix of gearing and mechanical principals and movement, educational in so many ways. The set is also visually striking for display.

Working in the aerospace industry, exciting to build sets based on real rockets like Artemis, SLS, and Shuttle in a week instead of the years poured into the integration of the real thing. My son learns engineering concepts from the mechanics of the moving parts and realistic separation mechanisms. Hope Lego continues to add rockets such as New Glenn, Falcon, and Alpha to its collections.
