I am a much older woman who learned to love Legos while helping my great granddaughter put together some sets. I have built most of the architectural series and a lot of the larger Christmas builds. The mini figure vending machine was the most fun I”be had in building Legos. It is a marvel of miniature engineering. After completion, my great granddaughter has enjoyed using the Lego coin to dispense a capsule and build the mini figures. She then disassembles them and returns them to the machine. I think you’ll love building this mini figure vending machine. Kudos to Lego on a great product.

The minifigure vending machine blew away my expectations. What a fun build! There is 11 bags total, I didn’t time myself but you can do this fairly quickly. Within half a day. I went a little slow during the main mechanism because I really didn’t want to have to go back and re make anything. I think this set is a good mix of mechanical & easy going building. It’s not very challenging for a parent of any skill level. It was a little intricate for my 10 year old. It functions better than I thought it would. The coin doesn’t get stuck often but sometimes the minifigures sit a little tight against each other and then you can’t turn the handle. It’s very easy to clear these types of jams. My kids had fun with this and I believe this vending machine really is a memory dispenser, even for the younger generation. Highly reccomend this as a display set for your family household. It’s the perfect size too for not taking up too much space. The only thing that almost made me remove one star is the included minifigures. I was surprised to learn they were fan voted. The classic spaceman for example has been in retail rotation for over the last decade ever since Benny the spaceman in the Lego Movie was introduced. Everyone has a lot of variations of this minifigure. And then each minifigure in this vending machine set has a paired friend. So you get another identical spaceman. I did expect more fun and unique minifigures but that’s personal preference. We are going to replace some of the ones in the machine with the minifigures we’ve made at the lego store that represent each family member. Overall though this set is a must buy. Especially at the retail price, it’s worth it. Don’t wait for the secondary market increased price.

I’m not a grandma yet, but when I saw this set I knew I needed it in case I ever get to be one. Having this made me excited for the day a little child will come into my home for a visit, run into my awaiting arms, and beg to turn that little knob for a fun surprise. One request from Lego, with much begging and pleasing, please oh please can I buy more pieces to make extra capsules? About the build: the inner working mechanics were the challenge. I feared if i missed one step or piece I’d have to start all over again, so i took my time and studied the steps. Before I moved past those critical steps and onto the simple outer parts I tested the machine. You should have seen my utter delight at it working properly! I clapped and giggled. My husband thought me adorable.

This was in my opinion the best set of 2025. The functions and mechanics of the set are fun to build and satisfying to use once built. It looks great and comes with tons of minifigs. My only complaint is I wish it came with another 2 to 4 minifigs. Otherwise, hats off to the designer and LEGO.

This was everything I expected. The build was fun, the little minifigures in the machine are adorable, the mechanics are fun, and it looks great being displayed. I do wish there were a few more balls for the price just to fill it up more, but other than that I loved it.

This set made me smile before I even opened the box. It instantly reminded me of the gashapon machines in Japan—that irresistible combo of mystery, anticipation, and “just one more turn.” I was genuinely excited to build this one, and it did not disappoint. The real magic here is the functionality. This thing doesn’t just look like a vending machine—it acts like one. The knob won’t turn unless a coin is inserted, which is such a delight From a build perspective, it’s engaging and rewarding. LEGO really leaned into the engineering here, and it shows. My one small wish? I would’ve loved the minifigures inside to be more in line with a collectible minifigure series—a little more unique, a little more “exclusive capsule energy.” Overall, this set is playful, interactive, and pure joy. It’s part nostalgia, part toy, part display piece—and 100% a crowd-pleaser. If you like clever LEGO builds that do something, this one is absolutely worth the turn of the knob.

it was fun but also a little bit stressful...coz it's so expensive!!! if it didn't work properly, I would hate myself for the rest of my life.

This set exceeded my expectations! Love the mini figures! Still amazed that is a fully functional bubble gum machine!

This was a fun build. Build the gotcha balls with each bag of parts. The best part was one the build was complete it works like a dream.
