This was a fun set to build. There were several nice touches to the construction. But the standout was using some pieces flexibility to butt up against another brick to prevent motion in one direction and flex and snap creating a click sound in the opposite. Little things like that are nice and add a lot more realism to the set.

I bought this for my son because it just looked so dang cool and you know what, it is!! He had a blast putting it together but it’s so neat that it actually works and the size is perfect because he can display it on his desk. The minifigures are a lot of fun, too! Great set!

Bought this for myself, collect Lego, Love building. Easy to follow instructions, great selection of mini figs, The mechanical design to retrieve the balls containing minifigs is a work of genius, Love getting ideas from the masters for my own builds.

Really happy I made this purchase. So much for to put together. 16 minifigures are great. Really like that the designer is represented with a minifigure. Brings back memories of kids asking for quarters to play the machine in stores. Great idea. Looks so nice displayed.

This was a quick build, just over an hour. Interesting how the mechanism works that releases the mini balls and it didn't confuse me. Had to assemble all the little figures just to see them before I had to take them apart to get them onto the little balls. Going to talk it up to the other family members that are into Legos. Thanks for a fun build!

Gotta be honest, I primarily bought this set for the new colors of classic space new knight minifigures as Space was my pirmary theme growing up in the 80s and Castle was also and interest. That said, my 10 year old twins are obsessed with vending machines and minifigures in general so I'm busy finding fill ins for the half of the minifigures I pilfered. The mechanics of this thing are awesome and it's overall a very clever build and looks great. I do think it could have been at least $50 cheaper due to the number of parts and fact that it's not a licensed product.

This build was absolutely an awesome mechanical build. Very creative. The instructions were completely on point very easy to follow. The size and the working of it again on point! The only thing I think is for the characters we could’ve done a little bit better job of not having so many duplicates.

I mainly bought this for the figures. Turns out, it was very fun to build. The machine is actually fully functional. The design is spot on...you would think it's an actual gumball machine...not made from Legos. I don't regret buying this and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes gumball machines or collects minifigures.

I was skeptical mid-way through the process. The initial dispensing mechanism made sense with the balls rolling easily through the internal slide. However, the turning mechanism seemed to get stuck on a silly flap; I questioned its addition. However, I trusted the process and the Ideas designer; I have to admit that the turning mechanism worked very well by the time I completed the set. The entire set was well designed - no missing parts. My only (mild) criticism is that I would have preferred 12 different minifigures.

Such a fun build and great set to display anywhere in the home. The gear mechanism has to have 100+ small pieces itself. It works flawless every crank. Very nice design. I try to stick to particular themes but this was an automatic pick up. Reminds me of grocery store trips with mom back in the day.
