Missed Opportunity - Missing Pieces

Over this has been a fun build, except the starting and stopping. I am on bag 6 of this build and have so far had to request 3 pieces. Unfortunately, 2 of the pieces were internal so I have had to stop twice and wait the 2-3 weeks it takes for the missing pieces to arrive. I expect better quality control than this from Lego.

Awesome set, one huge flaw

The set looks awesome and detailed for what it is, and was pretty fun to build overall. However, there's a gigantic flaw with this set - the articulation freedom is basically non-existent. You can rotate the waist, the shoulders, the head and the hands for a little bit, everything else is completely fixed in place: feet, ankles, knees, legs, upper torso, even the elbows! That means you can't even pose the arms in any particular fashion, only as shown in the product page. Come on Lego, you've done the Transformers series and all of them move way more freely AND transform, why can't Iron Man? I deduct another star because in the literal decades of building lego, this is my first time missing not 1, but 2 pieces in a set. I have always looked back, taken something apart and realized I put something together wrong. Not this time, they are actually missing from the packaging.

Fun build for Iron Man fans

This was a fun build to do with my niece for my brother who is a major Iron Man fan. We saved the last step for him to do. This model is now the new display piece in his collection and he loves it. We used the app and split the build which added to the fun because you split up the "monotonous" parts then pass small built sections back and forth. It was almost like a game and kept us both busy for a good part of the afternoon. Overall it was definitely worth the price for the display ability and family fun.

Super fun build

I bought this set because I thought it looked cool, which it really does. The surprise for me was that it was really fun to build. Much more so than I expected. It was not a difficult build, but really neat use of geometry and shaping, especially in the torso. It’s slightly posable, but doesn’t really need to articulate much to get a good pose. Love it.

Good in most areas, lack in some

The building experience was overall positive. Although, I had a few problems with it that made it a bit more difficult to enjoy. First off, I find that the two flaps on the bottom back of the figure tend to come off quite easily, making it frustrating when trying to position it. The head I also felt, lacked some shape compared to the rest of the figure. I get the scaling might've been the key factor in why the head might've lacked, but I still feel as though it could've been worked on a bit more. Especially when compared to the bust figure of iron man, the head looks a bit off. Though, from a builders standpoint, it would be extremely difficult to achieve the same detail, I still feel like a little more design could've gone into it. Another problem I had with it were the hands, which building and trying to position were a little bit difficult, especially when it comes to the pieces having to snap on and then snapping off sometimes. As far as strong suits, the body and scaling (except the heads detail), look absolutely amazing. I love the almost scale looking torso, and the strong and defined features of the arms and legs. Overall, the build quality and experience were good, and I would definitely recommend this to other people, but improvements could definitely be made in future designs. Thank you to the Lego team for making this product become reality!

Iron Man: Stunning Design, Limited Movement

The first Iron Man is still my favorite movie in the MCU, so I was really excited to get this set. Overall it looks great, but I was hoping it would be a little more poseable. The legs are fixed, so when you turn the torso for a more action-style pose it ends up looking a bit awkward and unnatural. This is definitely a set made more for display than play. That said, the gold pieces look amazing and I love that all the parts are printed.
