I purchased this after seeing many raving reviews online and totally LOVED it would last a very long time sometimes I would go to sleep and wake up and still smell it the next morning. HOWEVER I purchased another one as a gift and a couple of months later asked how she liked it and she said the smell was very light and went away very quickly I have seen others write similar reviews so it seems to be an issue with the consistency of quality, I am hesitant to purchase again.

The scent doesn't have the depth or staying power I expected from reading the comments. As many here noted, the initial scent is heavy with alcohol and it dries into a very faint, sweet scent without the creaminess of depth I expected from an amber-based fragrance.

I dont dislike it, but I dont love it. I was expecting something a little more stand out for being the best seller of the site personally. Ill keep looking. . Im glad I bought the advent calendar bc I would never be able to just keep ordering bottles at full price. Dossier needs to create a build your own sampler pack. If customers could pick sample sizes of so many bottles I bet theyd get far more sales because people could find what they like without breaking the bank and become repeat customers and gift the scents they dont like to friends to also spread the love.

This is my absolute favorite perfume, and Dossier made a really good dupe. It's a warm, spicy scent; sweet, sultry, and comforting. If you've tried the original Bacarrat Rouge 540, this is very similar. I think the original is more complex, but the Dossier has a little more brightness and "pop" to it, and lasts quite a while. Love love love.

OMG. I took a chance on Ambery Saffron just because everyone is talking about Baccarat Rouge 540 and I am so glad that I did! I'm a scent snob and I'm really picky about what I want to smell like. I'm usually a gourmand type of girl and really took a chance with this one and oh boy it did not disappoint. It's unisex which I don't normally go for but also warm and mysterious. I mix it with just a touch of my Ambery Cherry (Lost Cherry by Tom Ford) and it's just so, so good. Love this.

I don't know if I received a bad batch of the Ambery Saffron perfume, but unfortunately mine smells like alcohol with no other smells combined. I even put some on my skin and waited to see if the smell would magically appear, but nothing. Love all the other perfumes though, but this was one was just very disappointing.

I bought this because it was suggested to go with Woody Sandalwood. Because they were suggested to go together I assumed it wouldnt be floral or fruity. That was my bad cuz I didnt read the scents in it. It was way too sweet smelling, gave me a headache within the hour. Wouldnt recommend it if sweet floral smells arent your thing.

Just received this beautiful fragrance, it is amazing. This scent is everything I've hoped to smell like :)! My husband can''t stop sniffing me and I like that! I have never smelled the 540 fragrance but if it smells anything like this I'm not surprised how popular it is! This has to be the sexiest fragrance that I own, a fantastic combo of warmth, mysterious spices and something that I can't describe but just can;t get enough of. Thanks Dossier!!

I was really excited about this one and I got it and sprayed a few times on my arm and it kind of smelled of alcohol and to be honest it is not very strong. Im gonna give it a shot. Also, Ive noticed other fragrance companies have a place on their site that shows what fragrance is parallel together. I dont see that on yours and that would be very helpful.

I was skeptical about this but it honestly smells really nice. I didn't have the original when I first got this but this smells so similar that sometimes I interchange them. It lasts for a good amount of time too for 5-6 hours at least. However within the first few seconds of spraying it has a slightly alcohol scent but it wears off and has it's regular scent. I think this is just overall a great dupe for the original. It is also great for layering with other scents and a great addition to your collection.
