I have never smelled the Rouge 540, so I have nothing to compare it to, but this is a rich and sweet but fresh saffron scent. It is very luxurious smelling and gives high-end vibes for sure. The scent seems to last on my skin for at least a full day but there is not much throw - which I know a lot of people don't prefer. I like sniffing my wrist throughout the day but would like to feel it is perceptible to others & my husband says he can't smell it on me unless he is really trying up close. Maybe I got a weak batch since most reviews say it is strong. I will definitely buy it again so we'll see. This with the Ambery Cherry is divine and much more of a scent throw. Both are perfect for Fall / Winter. My usual go-to is Jardin En Mediterranee by Hermes & it has a unique soft fig-wood and cedar sweetness on it's wear-down that fits this profile well, so this scent is a perfect Fall to Winter transition from that perfume. I love knowing that sweet warm & earthy fresh scent is on me when I give hugs.

I LOVE the scent, however it doesn't last very long for me. I get compliments for about the first hour then after that it doesn't seem to stick well. I have done all the recommended moisturizing and scent placement and it doesn't really make a difference.

I had high expectations from hearing about the original perfume and this one does not replicate it at all. The scent fades easily and smells like a strong stench of alcohol. 1/10. It came slightly broken out of the spray part of the bottle where it was crooked and the cap does not stay on correctly. The packaging was not very presentable as I was giving it as a gift.

I saw Dossier advertised on TicToc and decided to give it a try. I ordered Ambery Saffron- Baccarat Rouge 540, Ambery Vanilla YSL Black Opium, and Gourmond White Flowers Viktor& Rolf Flower Bomb. All of them smell wonderful! These fragrances provide the gift of high end at affordable prices. I love the packaging and romance card that comes with each bottle. The scents are subtle but last long. Perfect for layering scents to create your own signature.

Baccarat 540 is my everyday scent. So when I received this as a gift I thought it would be like all the other imitations. For example ALT brand smelled cheap and gave me such a terrible headache. This one did not and it is pretty close to the 540 scent. Its a nice, less powerful version. It doesnt last long, but for the price thats ok. To extend the scent you can add a lil Vaseline to your wrists/neck and then spray it on those points.

One of the best dupes Ive ever bought. I get so many compliments when I wear this sent. This smells identical to Baccarat Rouge 540. I actually own both perfumes and Ive found that dossier lasts longer too. And the bottle is so pretty. Very much recommend.

I just received this. I've left my house a grand total of twice and have already been asked by numerous people what perfume I'm wearing. I literally even got asked while I was out walking my dog. Totally worth the purchase, it's a warm, clean, complicated scent. It's the kind of thing you feel like you have to keep smelling to discover more about it.

I wanted to see what the hype was about when it came to this specific fragrance before l went out and purchased the actual one. The fragrance doesn't wow me at all. And personally; I think you all should start back with the sample bottles. As far as returning it. I'm not. I'll just gift it to someone that will use it.

I ordered this scent twice. The first time I bought it, I got so many compliments, could smell it on me all day (I worked in food & bev) and I ended up using the entire bottle (small one). So logically, I bought another one but the big one this time and it smells different this time and when I spray it, it makes my throat itch when before it didnt. Im not sure if the formula changed but it doesnt last like it used to. I now work a desk job and the smell is gone before the day is half way through. ): was there a formula change since the scent got so popular??? Additionally, I can see from the other reviews that the smell isnt strong and doesnt last... I may have gotten a bad batch but I am super sad and disappointed by this second purchase. I will be exchanging the big bottle.

I see why these can be offered so cheaply . The scent doesnt last with either of the three I purchased longer than maybe an hour ? Doesnt matter what I do or where I spray . You get what you pay for I guess . Would not recommend . The two stars are only cause packaging, samples
