Ive never smelled the original, but I have an oil perfume version of the original. The oil smelled great but I personally like to spray on my perfume. When I saw that dossier had this dupe I was super excited. This dossier Amber Saffron smells so good! I get compliments on this fragrance every time I wear it. Go ahead, buy it! You wont be disappointed!!!

Im really disappointed because my boyfriend got this for me as a gift. I asked for it because his sister wears it and it smells really good! Unfortunately, which seems somewhat common upon reading these reviews, it doesnt smell right. Like everyone says it does smell strong of alcohol and maybe like pepper? Idk how to describe the smell but its not enjoyable. And the dry down I dont really smell anything at all. I dont know what the issue is because the reviews are mixed. I dont get how others smells great and mine smells bad. So I guess be cautious of that when you buy.

I fell in love with Ambery Saffron before ever smelling Baccarat Rouge. It's a smell you can't get enough of. Projection and lasting power is excellent. Definitely only need 1 to 3 sprays max. I recently went to the mall and was able to try the original Baccarat Rouge. Not only is Ambery Saffron dead on. It is better. The original has a very strong alcohol smell on initial spray compared to Ambery Saffron. When it dried down the smelled exactly the same but the dossier version was stronger and projected better. So I went and stocked up on Ambery Saffron. I own 4 bottles currently.

Personally, took a week to grow on me. I like it and it is nice as an everyday scent BUT i feel like it doesnt last. Not sure if I go noseblind or if it doesnt have a good bond with my skin. I can smell it sometimes in my clothes but i feel like the fragance on me lasts about 10-15 mins then i cant smell anything. I have been told that it does smell but I dont agree. it does smell similar to the ariana grande perfume although i am unaware of how long that one lasts or how long you can smell it on yourself... my mom was a big fan eventho she didnt really use it, she is ordering one for herself as i type this.

A beautiful fragrance. This fragrance is very warm, but also subtle. It smell very similar to the designer fragrance its modeled after (delicious) but did not in my case seem to last as long. It is a very nice fragrance overall. My daughter claimed this from me so Ill have to buy another for myself!

Of course the name had a little bit to do with making the purchase. But I was definitely surprised. Im obsessed my 21 year old daughter is obsessed and Ive received so many compliments. Buy it but not all of it since I will be needing more in the near future.

The amount of times I've been asked if I'm wearing Baccarat Rouge is endless! I am in love with this scent and this brand, and will forever continue buying the Ambery Saffron instead of the real thing forever! I love that it lasts all day. Ordering my 3rd bottle!

I received my bottle within a week of ordering, and I have never been more obsessed with a perfume. This perfume smells very grown and sexy and though I do find it more feminine, it would probably also work well for men. This is definitely an intense scent with a lot of lasting power, to the point that I can still smell it on my clothes days later and sometimes faintly even after washing them. It's a headturner for sure, and I even had a girl chase me down from across the gym to ask what perfume I was wearing. HIGHLY recommend this scent, especially considering the price. Can't wait to try other perfumes from Dossier and buy some perfumes for friends and family for Christmas this year.

I have not smelled Baccarat Rouge 540 which this is supposed to be a dupe of. However, I really enjoy this scent. When I first smelled it, I did not like it. I actually started to return it. So I tried it again the day after I received it. I had a completely different impression the next day. Whenever I wear this, I am constantly sniffing my wrists. this scent is sweet, dark, and seductive. It is a unisex fragrance, but I feel its a bit more feminine leaning. However, I think it would smell quite nice on a man as well.

Lovely spicy and sweet fragrance. Smelled delicious when I sprayed it on a napkin and let it dry. I have found, however, since I have increased my insulin that deeper, stronger scents no longer smell good on me. My body chemistry has changed and the scents I once loved no longer love me back. So, A+ fragrance, just doesnt smell good on me .
