I don't think I have ever had the opportunity to smell Baccarat Rouge, so I can not speak to how good of a dupe it is. However, whenever I wear this scent I get so many compliments. Two of my friends have even purchased this scent from this company because of how great I smelled!

I just received my latest scent, Ambery Saffron, inspired by MFK's Baccarat Rouge 540. I've only ever sampled the MFK original at the Neiman-Marcus fragrance counter, and I absolutely loved it! Even though I'm a self-proclaimed fragrance snob, I'd never ever spend that much on a fragrance. So I was excited to give the Dossier dupe a try, yet I was still a bit skeptical they could really pull it off. Well, not only have they pulled it off with Ambery Saffron, I love it even more!! And what I most love about it is that when I woke up after just a couple spritzes the day before, I could still smell it on myself. Because you know how you put on your favorite fragrance but within a couple of hours you can no longer catch the scent...not with this. I was so surprised how lovely it still smelled. I will definitely keep this one stocked in what is fast becoming quite a Dossier fragrance collection in my dressing room!

I got this for a Christmas gift and while Ive never smelled the original this scent has me mesmerized. I have a strong sense of smell so I am very particular with what I choose to use and this has got me smelling myself all day. While it wasnt something that I was initially drawn to smelling it from the bottle, once you spray it and let it settle for a bit it must work some magic because I want to wear this every day now. This scent has started my obsession with Dossier products.

This is the best smelling perfume I have! Ive been asked by so many people what I was wearing because it smells amazing! From a male waiter wanting to buy it for his girlfriend, to a random woman on the street stopping me and asking what it was, to my friends asking me to borrow it - Ive gotten so many compliments on this!

I have not tried the original but the Ambery Saffron is delish! The scent is great not too strong and not too light either. Lasts a fair amount of time. The bottle it comes in is good quality and so are the ingredients. Will be trying other flavors now.

This is my favorite perfume of all time! My boyfriend loves this scent on me. I get compliments every single time I wear it (which is all the time). I couldnt see myself spending the price for the Baccarat so I wanted to try this cheaper route and Im so glad I did! Smells expensive, lasts very long on me. I spray on my jacket too and days later, my jacket still has this scent. This is definitely my statement perfume!

I LOVE ambery saffron so much, Ive been buying it for years as it smells just like the real thing so is perfect to take on trips or keep in the car. That being said, Ive always bought the smaller bottle but decided it was time to get more bank for my buck so went with the larger bottle. With the smaller bottles, the payoff is great. No alcohol smell, scent lasts for hours. This large bottle however not only is slightly a different color (odd), it smells entirely of rubbing alcohol. There is no scent. Not even minutes after applying to allow the alcohol to dissipate. Ive tried shaking the bottle thinking maybe the oils settled, Ive tried spraying from over a foot away to allow the alcohol to evaporate by the time it reaches me and, well nothing. Its just rubbing alcohol. For the price, its definitely not worth it which is a shame because it used to be so so amazing.

Dossier is not as strong and long lasting as the original. The scent profile is very close, however on my skin it had this odd minty almost toothpaste undercurrent to it, that dissipated as the day went. I think unless you're super familiar with the original, you probably wouldn't notice the differences.

I got this because Ive been dying to try Baccaraut however, while the price point is great I feel like the smell is not that strong - almost a bit watered down I want to say. I enjoy it for what it is, but there are other Dossier perfumes i like more, that are more fragrant and cost just a bit less.
