Great options for sensors like entryways and motion and even water and smoke. Add in cameras that can be battery operated or solar charged or even plugged in and you're ready to arm. Monthly charge is more reasonable than most others and service is very good.

Quickly learned to deactivate the alarms when I forgot to set to "off" or "home", but once you figure out the app, the system gives you peace of mind. I also appreciate that the app allows so much customization.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 13 piece system has mostly what you need to perform a DIY setup. It has a base station and keypad as the interface. There is one outdoor camera that was placed at the front door area. 2 motion sensors were great as I placed one on each level of the house. 8 entry sensors were enough for me to place at each of my 4 entryways with 4 remaining o es to place at lower window areas. The app is easy to use and set up once you have installed the equipment. You can choose the level of monitoring you want with different costs for the level of monitoring you want. You can use it without any plan but it will be very limited and can’t record from the camera. I do wish the monitoring costs were lower or added extra functionality for the free plan.

Took a couple of hours to unbox, read the manuals, and get everything setup with sensors on all doors and windows, base unit, and wifi. Learning how to arm and disarm and use the app was also very easy to learn and use. Very happy with this product.

It took less than 10 minutes to hang the keypad and the main "tower " you simply plug in. The voice of the system is very calming. I'm sure most people may not care about that, but there are some of us that hate when the voice of a security system, or any other similar type of system, is aggressive sounding. The door monitors are nice, they make a little beeping sound when opening the door. Overall I really like the whole SimplySafe system, I've used it for a month and so far it has lived up to its name and it is simple to install, simple to use and a simple way to keep your home safe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I really like this system, but I do have a few things that I am concerned about for the future. First off, the setup is pretty easy. I had to download the SimpliSafe app and I had no trouble getting any of the devices connected to it. This is my first security system so I was a little intimidated but so far everything has seemed relatively customizable. I do wonder how long it will take for the entry sensors to deplete their battery. Especially if you're going in and out a lot. I really like the keypad. The buttons are big and easy to read to the point that even my mom who has trouble seeing could use it. The outdoor camera I feel very iffy on and is why a docked a star. I had to actually look up a video to see how to install the battery and apparently you just twist the lens of the camera and it comes off. So that's relatively easy. What I don't like is that this is a camera with a magnetic base. Someone could easily come by and just take the camera off the base if you don't have it high enough out of reach. I personally didn't want to install mine that high, so it getting stolen is something on my mind. I do wish that it was all one piece or that it at least had some kind of locking mechanism. Camera quality seems good so far. I don't have the best Wi-Fi and I haven't had any disconnects. Overall, I haven't had the system too long so I can't say for sure what's going to happen in the weeks and months to come. But so far even on a free plan, I am very happy to be able to monitor my home.

Everything was organized and in individual boxes with all of their required pieces, so there was no hunting for screws or anything. Most of the pieces had the option of installing using command steips or screws. The directions were in an envelope all together. Everything went up easy and was very simple to install and set up. My husband actually made the comment that they truly did live up to their name because of how simple it was from start to finish. We were worried about the door and window sensors because we have bigger trim that makes them not line up perfectly, but they seem to be working just fine so far. The base is sleek and modern looking so it does not look super out of place in our living room. It even came with a nice yard sign. We have already started looking at other security accessories to add to our home from SimpliSafe and plan to purchase a smaller system for my parents for a Christmas gift. The only reason that I didn't give it the extra star is because it says it's compatible with Alexa, but we have not had any luck setting that feature up so far. Overall, this is a great system, and we are really excited to have it in our home!

I’ve had my system for 5 years from day one I’ve had issue after issue. Base station,key pad,camera,sensor issues back to back replacement components sent I’ve escalated to the highest departments with no help a manager finally told me today there’s nothing we can do we’ve tried everything maybe it’s your house or you have interference I’ve had this for 5 years! I’ve replaced every single component serval times now my front door lock had froze it won’t respond and when you try to fix it the app says call us. When I di they said sorry we have no idea what’s going on they won’t refund me. They won’t send out anymore parts they won’t give me my money they said we can give you 3 free months….. what am I gonna do with 3 free months? The system doesn’t work!!!! So what good is 3 months. I literally had the rep tell me just use it as is you should be fine. You just can’t use the door lock cameras but the monitoring should be safe to use still excuse meeeeee
