I think people were lying when he said, this smell exactly like black opium, because it doesnt even smell similar to it. If anything, the perfume has too much of a floral smell then even a vanilla smell, and Is throw me off because it says Ambery vanilla, but it smells like a floral perfume And I dont Really smell any other nose then floral is kind of sad because Of course I didnt expect it. It smells exactly like black opium, but I was hoping at least most similar to it and it doesnt even smell like vanilla at all.

I've never used the perfume this was copied after, but I wanted to try something new since I mostly lean toward clean floral smells. This smells great! Its definitely a warmer smell, and its perfect for fall and winter months. I got a couple other scents and they are wonderful as well:) I will be a Dossier customer going forward for sure!

This perfume smells AMAZING! I have to regretfully and embarrassingly admit...I was once a 26 yr old still using Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar body spray *insert tears*. With going on a cleaner journey with the things I put into and onto my body, I knew that needed to change. I did research on clean perfumes and decided on Dossier. This Amber Vanilla scent is PERFECT. It is a much more mature fragrance and I no longer have to be embarrassed to tell people what I use. The sent is incredible. I highly recommend if you want that warmer vanilla scent that isn't overpowering.

Very dissapointed with this one. I am still wondering if the perfume I got is not the one that was supposed to go in this bottle. It smells nothing like Black Opium it smells like strong citrus aftershave. I went back to read reviews and see if anyone else has the same impression and I couldnt find anything. Even after letting it set for 30 minutes, I still get lemon and mandarin absolutely no sweetness, vanilla or coffee. I am super confused and dissapointed with this and unfortunately this was a replacement for another scent and cannot be returned or exchanged anymore. I wish I kept the scent I returned because it smelled so much better this is straight up a male perfume. Even looking at the liquid comparison with the website picture: the website shows a yellow-orange liquid while the one I got is completely clear...

This perfume was a blind purchase for me and its to die for. It smells very musky, cedar wood, and clean at first but when it dried down you can still smell the cedar wood but its not as strong compared to the vanilla and coffee scent. Its a very warm fragrance that smells clean and simple. Its definitely worth it.

I hardly write reviews but as somebody who loves perfume, especially Black Opium, I really had to give this a try and let others know. First off, it smells AMAZING, it smells exactly like black opium, but I think there's something about Dossier's version thats better. It's so yummy and I get complimented a lot.

I bought this scent based on the reviews and really wanted to try it. Well...I wasnt disappointed! I love how strong but feminine this scent is! You still long lasting which I love! Also this was my first time ordering and I am impressed by how fast it came and how much perfume was in the bottle!

I have both the designer fragrance and the dossier and honestly there is no difference!!! The quality of the dossier fragrance is absolutely worth the price, even if you're just interested in trying out a fragrance before fully purchasing the designer this is the best dupe I have come across. The smell itself is beautiful, but not your typical "Warm vanilla sugar" smell.

Compliments everywhere I go. No one believes me when I tell them the price or where I got it from. I also love that it stays for a while. In general have had great experience with Dossier scent longevity compared to some of my designer perfumes that I've had. This is a great warm scent and is heavy on the vanilla. I've smelled the original perfume and its not quite the same as Black opium is less vanilla and more floral, BUT I still love this scent and feel like its the exact same vibe.

definitely keeping this! my personal predicament is i fell in love with YSL black opium nuit blanche but its DISCONTINUED - i like the original black opium but something about it immediately gives me a massive headache! So i was hoping this dossier perfume would give me a good black opium-ish scent minus the headache and that's exactly what happened thankfully! smells almost marshmallowy on me which is fine bc i love sweet scents, missing a bit of the complexity of the og fragrance but it is fine because i would rather smell nice w/o the headache!
