Over a year ago I purchased the dupe for Black Opium and I ended up not liking it, but I got a sample of the real thing recently and it was just divine. I decided to give Dossiers version another shot and its so good! Maybe the formula was changed or my sense of smell is different but its perfect!!!

It's a light, powdery vanilla scent, honestly smells like scent you would wear to bed (if you are a person who put on perfume before bed). It smells good initially but it does not last, by the time I reach work, I don't smell it on me any more. I needed an everyday fragrance but it did not meet that need so, I had to return it. My first purchase was a 'miss', so disappointed. I am now hesitant to repurchase.

Tried on a whim and Ambery Vanilla is a hit! It smells so lovely and is just like it's described, with rich notes of vanilla and amber that create a wonderfully intoxicating smell! The scent is warm, pretty and a little sultry from the amber notes. Definitely recommend buying and having in your arsenal for Fall (although it will smell great year round too)!

I'm in love with this scent! I've never smelled Black Opium but it has notes that I enjoy and this did not disappoint. This might be my favorite so far after Floral Pink Pepper. I feel sexy and received so many compliments when I tried this out at work.

I do think that it smells amazing. I have purchased 3 scents so far from Dossier and this is my first review of any of them. It surprisingly has decent lasting power. Not many fragrances tend to linger on me. My skin eats them up no matter what I try but this one I can still smell long after I have applied...I was trying to figure out how to attach a picture to this review but Im not seeing an option for that. The juice in mine however is not the same as the picture. The picture shows an ambery color & my bottle barely has a tint at all of an color...dont know if that makes a difference but thats the only negative thing I can say about it so overall its a great fragrance.

I'm a man and took a 'risk' when ordering this one, categorized for 'woman'...I'm glad I did. The scent is sweeter than I expected, yet it grows into a dark addictive flowery perfume. It is my second favorite scent out of the 9 I am currently trying. I found it marries nicely with the 'Amber Cherry' (or 'Lost Cherry' by Tom Ford). I feel so confident when I wear it, and find myself smelling my wrist throughout the day.

I've been searching for a staple vanilla perfume and this is perfect! A long lasting vanilla scent with the subtle floral note giving it a feminine touch, and the "ambery" warmth giving it a nice maturity. So delicious, classy, and timeless! Not personally familiar with Black Opium, so I can't offer much in terms of comparison, but on it's own Ambery Vanilla is a delightful perfume.

I love this perfume! I don't normally like perfumes with vanilla in them because it's usually too strong, but this one is perfectly balanced! It also lasts all day and then some. I usually can still smell it on my clothes days later when doing my laundry!

Honestly out of three perfumes that I bought for the first time, this is by far my top favorite! Its so different and just holding the bottle without spraying anything in me and the smell lingers in my hand. I havent used it yet but I have scented it and just from the scent I would definitely recommend buying it or giving it a shot! Im glad that I took a chance and bought these perfumes online because they were worth the purchase. As a first time buyer Im glad that it didnt disappoint and whenever I do run out of perfume, I would definitely come and buy some more here!

I haven't noticed myself reaching for this fragrance a lot because it definitely has a night scent to me and I just haven't been going out to the appropriate places to wear this. I'm in high school and it's too heavy for school or really the daytime in general. But I would say, it's appropriate for a dinner at a nicer restaurant or anywhere you wouldn't wear sweatpants. All in my own opinion and how it performs on my skin at my age.
