Pretty design, skunky smell

I bought this rug for my bedroom in July 2022, it's a great size, love the look and design. But there is a big problem. When the sun warms up our room and shines on this rug, it smells skunky. And if our door is open, the whole house will have a hint of the smell. I've tried multiple things to get the smell out but nothing has worked. Would be 5 stars if i could have gotten the smell out
