Newer Version of the Shrimp wonton soup. Nasty!

I was so happy to see this back on the shelves. But sadly so disappointed. This new version the container sucks, the broth tastes like dirty sink water (I added filtered water), the wonton is gummy and so think. They weren’t like this before. I guess another brand bought out and destroyed. No wonder it hasn’t been on the shelves in the markets

Decent Snack with a little help

This is not a meal portion, it is more of a snack because the portion is small. The shrimp is minced. I found the texture tolerable, but be aware they are not whole shrimp. It is recommended that you add about 1/2 cup of water per the instructions, but I add about 3/4 cup of water because I like a bit more broth. On its own, the broth is indeed quite bland. However, I add a small amount of ginger paste, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and a tad of soy sauce to my liking. Once you beef up the flavor a bit, the bowl is quite tasty. Be reasonsable this is a frozen wonton bowl, it will never be as good as freshly cooked wonton soup.
