I saw this item at the local Sam's Club and decided to give it a try for the money. Got to admit for the price of less than $5, there are 5 bowls of wontons in the package with 6 wontons in each bowl, making it quite a good deal for a snack. Unfortunately, when I went back a month later, the stocks are all gone and there's no plan for the store to reorder more. I guess other members must find this item such a great deal also.

Tasty shrimp wonton at good price

This soup is absolutely delicious! You must try them. The dumplings are tender. The broth is full of flavor and it is a perfect portion.

Fantastic soup

Very good just as good as a restaurant and great for weeknight quick supper. Just add an egg roll and you are set.

Wonton soup

To be honest with you, there was not much flavor at all. I wish the broth was a lot stronger so you could really taste it. For the price, it wasn’t bad that there was only five wontons in the bowl. It worked for a super quick meal to heat up for my family at the hotel. But honestly, it lacks flavor.

Lacks enough flavor but is a quick meal

The wontons and broth are very bland. I even tried adding less water than the directions said and it didn't seem to really help. Also, I couldn't taste or see any shrimp.

Very Bland

No bang for the buck.  Not cheap for 4 small bowls that you have to add water to make the soup? Wonton wrappers were very thin and flavorless. The shrimp meatball mush filling was unpleasant in consistency and had an unknown flavor?  The soup base created by adding your own water was actually ok. They should reformulate this item and just sell the clear soup stock so you can add your own edible and tasty ingredients.

The pink meatball mush shrimp filling has to go.

I purchased this on a whim to try it, and figured for the price ($4.91 for 4 bowls), I couldn't really go wrong.  

Well I did - go wrong, that is. 

The broth is pretty tasteless. When cooking, there is an overwhelming garlic scent, which concerned me that it would be too much garlic flavor, but when it was done, and I tasted the broth, there's simply not much flavor at all. Not a garlic flavor, not a shrimp flavor  - just salty and otherwise pretty tasteless. 

The wontons are filled with what can only be called a filler meatball with MAYBE a very, very tiny bit of shrimp in it. Cutting one of the wontons open tells the story - you can see a weird lump of filling with an odd texture, and teeny little pink flecks of shrimp in it. The texture of that filling tells you all you need to know - it's made mostly of fillers, not shrimp.  Biting into it is like biting into a rubber ball - it almost bounces back when you chew it. There must be *some* shrimp in there, because I bit down on a gritty piece that was probably an uncleaned mud vein from a shrimp. Gross. (If you've ever had this experience when eating shrimp, you know what I mean.) 

I only at ONE of the dumplings, and that was my experience. Weird dumpling filling, very low shrimp content, and biting into what was probably a mud vein. Definitely didn't make me want to eat more.

All in all, very disappointed. This isn't about portion size - it's about quality. For less than $5 for 4 bowls, I guess I shouldn't have expected much.  The 3 out of 4 bowls that I didn't cook are going in the trash.  I'd rather throw out a $5 bill than buy this again.

Not worth purchasing again.

Noodle not included , shrimp is grounded/mashed not a wholesome shrimp, bad texture shrimp and wrapping. Use to be very good , not sure what's going on.

Don't recommend

This Asia brand used to be very good I don’t know what happened but it doesn’t have the shrimp taste or texture. It’s terrible and I would never buy it again.

Shrimp wonton soup

Doesn’t taste like shrimp.  It’s most likely ground up shrimp with lots of filler.  Very disappointed
