TURBO TAX CUSTOMER SERVICE

Not Satisfactory because it rejects my attempts to efile and gives no advice as to where I can talk to someone. This is the second year in a row this has happened to me. I am finished with Turbotax if this is the type service you are going to provide!!

Importing forms from FIdelity

One challenge we had was in importing data from Fidelity. The 1099-R forms were ready before the 1099-Div, 1099-Int and 1099-B for capital gains. When we imported the second set it would knock out the 1099-R so we would have to go re-import that and then fix errors. We had to create a spreadsheet to check which forms stayed and which were knocked out. We have several accounts at Fidelity.

Turbotax was awesome.

My account purchase had been cancelled someway. I called to get help. Watson was very helpful. We ordered and purchased the software. I had already completed my taxes but not filed them. When we made the new purchase all of my information had been saved so I didn't have to rework anything. Thanks Watson for your help.

2025 TurboTax is horrible

Whatever changed from 2024 (and previous years) to 2025 TurboTax made it confusing, and I had problems trying to download information from Fidelity. I've used TurboTax for 20+ years, but my experience this year has me considering to find another tax software.

Turbotax UI nitpicks, plus this review form sucks

the software all seems to work pretty well overall. the document imports especially were a lot nicer than how I used to just manually transcribe everything over, since I was being cheap. but, for the last few parts where I had to enter in the date and my state and stuff, please change the dropdown lists to comboboxes. also, (and this one is really nitpicky, even for me), there was a piece of the UI saying "we found this deduction for you", but it was just the standard deduction. so yeah, where would I be if it weren't for you helping me out there, right? also, I think that the "AI-generated review topics" card above this text box is stealing focus when the selected review topics changes, and it's eating my keystrokes. I am probably a faster typist, so it is really noticeable for me. also, why are you requiring me to enter in a review title and nickname? come on, there is no way you are getting anything useful there. and you didn't even set a max length on the nickname field, for shame.

Marginal Experience This Year

I was unable to import information from one of my brokers. Very frustrating. Finding any help from TurboTax was ridiculous - just kept getting stupid ads. I don't like the new interface to input numbers by hand. It was hard to figure out and seemed unnecessary to go through the same loop again and again to get to the input screen. I have been very happy with TurboTax in the past, but this year, it was not great.

Excellent but with some usability flaws

I had a couple of issues that made doing the taxes more dificult than it should have been. 1) when putting information for 1099-dev, 1099-int and another 1099 topic I downloaded the information from my broker. When it asked me to review the information for each, it only showed the broker name. I have 7 accounts with that broker. It should show at least PART of the account number when I get to that stage. 2) on my 1095-a , my column B was zero for all months. Although it did not affect me as i do not itemize, it would not let me enter the form as it was sent to me. (You don't believe me? I will show you) I made up a reasonable number and submitted that instead as it didn't matter. 3) If I leave the "interview method" of entering information for whatever reason, I would like a button to return me to the interview where I left off. Could not find a good way to do that other than getting out of TurboTax and returning. Other than those things, I love the product. Have been using it since I did it character based on my 286 computer under DOS. Thanks

Update Turbo Tax problem

I switched to MAC this year from Windows. The problem I had was updating the program before transmission e-file was accepted There is no update on the menu so I downloaded a new Turbo tax program, transferred my return to it and then was able to file. Also there was no forms menu as in prior programs on Windows.

E-file AGI verification problems

Have used Turbo Tax for MANY years without any problems but this year, have attempted 4 times to transmit my return via e-file. Three times return rejected on basis of 2024 AGI amount entered. Was checked numerous times and was accurate. This past submittal (e-filed 14:30 3/15/26) I changed refund status to "apply to next year (27) taxes vs refund". If this doesn't work, I will be filing a complaint with Turbo Tax as amount paid for software "...includes free e-file". Believe software issues need to be addressed.

Same software errors seem to exist each year

Generally good; however, it doesn't perform all needed calculations - especially when providing information to avoid penalties resulting from irregular timing (usually mutual fund distributions at the of each year). Also, TurboTax fails to recognize my son's disability status correctly. I find myself looking for the TurboTax error each year and overriding some information.
