I've used TurboTax for over 20 years to file my federal and state tax returns. I use the Premier version of the program because I invest in stocks, and the reporting requirements would be utterly impossible without assistance. I import my tax forms from my stockbroker into TurboTax, and that nightmare vanishes. Plus, I can choose whether to complete the federal and state returns through a guided interview or just the forms I need.

Both last year and this year, when I submitted my Federal tax return with TurboTax, I was notified from the IRS that my return was Rejected. I had to physically go into Deductions & Credits and under Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A) fill in the information that was required. Then refile my return with the IRS. TurboTax should be prompting me for this information as I had already listed that I had a Form 1095-A. Hopefully this can be fixed for upcoming years.

Multiple problems today trying to launch and update TurboTax to complete my 2025 tax returns. First I tried to launch TT by clicking on a return I had been working on, but nothing happened. I shut down my Mac and restarted, but this made no difference. Then I clicked on TT icon in the dock. Same result even after shutting down and restarting the computer. Finally, I removed TT from dock and launched the app from the Applications folder after once again shutting down and restarting. This finally worked. (Running macOS Tahoe 26.3.1)

Been using TurboTax since you came into being; will use it next year too. Hate the new graphic interface; prefer the old. Dislike having to log in to account to get a question answered. Used to be able to click on a number and get either the IRS document or the TT explanation straightaway. The download from Fidelity failed because the documents weren't ready but I couldn't tell that from TT - it just froze. Be really nice if a TT message came back saying something like "Documents not available for download". Bonus points for giving a predicted date for availability.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 15 years, but your product is no longer user friendly. I am simply trying to priint my state taxes but I keep getting sales pitches, and this is VERY FRUSTRATING. It would be great if the product did it basic job, but I still have not been able to print and file my Ohio state taxes. Last year I sp[enty hours trying to figure out how to print from my Mac as did a number of your users. Next year I'm not sure I will use TurboTax.

There are issues with the software. Editing of dates could be much better. Why are you allowing users to put future dates in the date fields for estimated taxes. I put the date 11/28/2026 in an estimated tax payment field for the 3rd quarter of 2025. It wasn't flagged and it caused a miscalculation of my state taxes. Also my location information for state return should be automatically imported from last year's return.

I found this years version more cumbersome to use than any other year. I had problems getting the updates, it froze up at one point indicating we seem to have a problem. I couldn't go forward or back and never did determine what the problem was. Tried to use the help but it was no help. Had to use task manager to get out of the program and google the issue to find that others had the same. I updated again and it appeared to fix it. Also I did not like the new version of its deductible for determining values of donated items. Bring back the former "Its Deductible" for next year

I am finished with my taxes but cannot email the results of pay what it due. I have printed the file and saved it to a pdf. How do I email the results and pay for what it due either by credit card of from my bank account?/

Federal was easy to follow and I didn't need any support. State tax was confusing at times. The Turbo tax program kept referring me back to the last input but then didn't let me update anything going forward

On average easy to use. If you have complex taxes and need to jump to specific forms and fields, it can be challenging to get instructions for that field explaining exactly what is required for correction.
