You failed to alert the tax preparer that there were additional costs associated with handling the refund until the end. Further, you sent a text message telling us that the Federal filing was rejected but didn't tell us why. Was the taxes package sent and who rejected them? We completed them according to program instructions. This is about 6th year we have used Turbotax and maybe the last.

Nothing was easy: Kept telling me to enter my Canadian income... There is none and never was Completely messed up my Fidelity info. No way to check if it got everything Hard to navigate Hard time finding last years return to help with this year Too much else to list I have been using turbotax for many years and it now is unusable

Generally straight forward although on occasion I did need to cross check versus home records. No issue with downloading o my PC or retrieving prior years return. Chat wa sometimes helpful although at times ddi need to go to the internet to reconfirm certain items. Seemed to work intuitively.

Waiting for updates to federal forms well into February was inexcusable. Other tax programs had the forms ready to go well before Turbo Tax. Secondly, Turbo Tax language and instructions regarding retired public safety workers being able to claim a $3,000 deduction based on medical insurance premiums that were paid is not completely accurate and not very helpful - in fact it is confusing and does not appear to be up to date (you are still tying it to a pension payment and making it seem like the insurance premiums must still be taken from the pension payments - which is no longer true as the IRS rule/law was changed.

I've used TurboTax for many years and like it. This year, I missed checking the box indicating I had QCD form IRA to charity, and wasted a lot of time then figuring out how to enter that. The first couple help screens I tried were worthless, telling me to click on an item that would not come up without that box checked, but said nothing about going back and checking that box; but finally I entered the proper words and got the video of how to go back to that screen and select the box to do it. That video should come up whenever "QCD" is entered as part of any Help entry. A second issue: I had to upgrade to Premier because of a 1099B from my brokerage firm for $1.90. I could have entered it manually, but it wouldn't let me download any of the brokerage info until I paid $35 and upgraded to Premier, all because of a 1099B for $1.90 income.

Working with TurboTax takes the stress out of filing taxes. It is easy to follow and has help screens when you need extra information. I know they also offer live support and that gives the user another level of confidence when using the software. The ability to upload tax documents keeps records accurate and saves the user time too. This year I was able to scan W2s which worked out very well.

The Easy Step questions for donating stock to a qualified charity makes that reporting much more challenging than necessary. You do not need to ask for the date of acquisition nor the cost basis of donated stock UNLESS you have held the stock less than 1 year. Then, your questions are appropriate. Otherwise, a simple yes/no as to whether you have held the stock for more than 1 year is all that's needed. Then, there's the question about whether the donation will be used by the organization to further its mission. How would I, as the donor, know the answer to that question and why does it matter to me, as the donor? Pointless question. I just lie and say Yes. In Easy Step, when you are going through and entering cash donations to charities, you come to a window where you enter the charity's name, then you click on Cash and then Continue. When Easy Step advances to the next window, it would be very helpful if the cursor would automatically advance to the field where you type in the amount of the donation. The way it is now, you have manually click on the amount field to enter the donation and do that for every separation donation. There's an error beep if you forget.☹️ Again, in Easy Step, you get to a window with the title Your charities and donations with every charity carried over from last year. Every one of them says NEEDS REVIEW in an orange box. Even after you update the donation for the current year, that message does not go away. The donations that have been edited should no longer have that message visible. Importing information from a financial institution is easy, but the way that it's dumped into TurboTax is not user friendly. I live in Missouri, where our state income tax requires us to separate all income between spouses, even when filing jointly. It's cumbersome to have to go back and designate the owner of the income after it's imported. There should be an easier way to do that.

During the tax preparation process, I went in and out of the app at various times. Each time, the app updated as it has always done. However, this year, on three different occasions, the update did not download and showed a download error; however, the app indicated that it was up-to-date. This does not give a feeling of confidence on accuracy and on it being up to date. I trust that my tax return will be correct as in the past.

Your module on charitable public stock contributions is screwed up. And your module on energy efficient home improvements is also screwed up, which you apparently aren't going to fix until March 6, 2026, so I will have to wait another few weeks for my refund, because you guys don't have your ducks in a row.

Turbo Tax has been my income tax filing choice for many, many years. This year I once again needed suport and it was quick and easy to speak with a knowledgeable, courteous professional at no extra cost who answered my question. I will continue to use Turbo Tax as it is user friendly and accurate and instills confidence in my tax filing.
