I will NOT be able to finish the return without extensive help and constant consultations with ChatGPT. There were numbers of issues, answer/choices selections, etc. that were difficult, especially for a novice /senior user. The internal help was useless!

System was very laggy and not as efficient in years past. Questions were not as clear as they once were and working through all the documents was not as intuitive as it was before. I liked TurboTax of old much better than the current versions. I also hate how it continuously asks you to buy additional services. Maybe next year I just pay a professional and save money.

I was pretty happy with most things except on the PA State return filing instructions it states "Be sure to mail all pages of your signed return along with any required attachments". YOU FAIL TO TELL ME WHAT THOSE REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AM I SUPPOSED TO GUESS?

I find Turbo Tax easy to use to complete my taxes. I have used it for over 20 years, and I have never had any problems. I prefer the Desktop download, and I find it easy to install and use on 2 different computers. IIt is very compatible with my computer. The features are easy to understand, and it is so easy to transfer information for the past year.

I really like Turbo Tax, but I found this new version a little unfriendly to use. It could be it was just that much different from the old version that I wasn't used to it but I didn't feel the information and follow through was presented as clearly in the past versions.

My W2G's all failed with the message that the EIN does not match the IRS database. The payer says the information on the W2G is correct. I could not electronically file and had to send my federal forms on by mail. I see on the community notes that others have seen this problem. I have used the EIN several years without any problems. I think this is a software problem in TurboTax. I cannot validate the source of the problem. Very stressful. I am using the desktop of TurboTax on Windows 11.

I have always liked Turbo Tax but this year they got sneaky and I was considering switching. I have windows 10 and like to do my taxes with the desktop version and not online. I also don't want to upgrade just yet. This years desktop version only works with Windows 11 which is a huge inconvenience. Why??

Tax returns for my wife and I are relatively simple - just pensions, social security, stocks, dividends, and interest. TurboTax was very good about guiding me through the various topics and downloading the pertinent information from my broker. I did have a question about the home energy tax credit because I had purchased energy efficient sliding glass doors, and TurboTax's explanation about qualifying for the credit were sufficient for me to determine that I did not qualify for the credit. Unfortunately, I did not ask the vendor or manufacturer whether the doors were Energy Star-rated, so that meant that I did not qualify for the credit.

I have used the old deluxe version of turbo tax for many years and always was very satisfied. This new desktop version is a disappointment because it has created a number of extra steps in tax return preparation and is not very user friendly. I hope you plan on keeping the desktop version because I do not want my tax return records on the cloud. i have no idea why you would have eliminated the Schedule D transactions from the former old deluxe version which was a great software product.

This year's release went much more gooey in entering some of the data. It doesn't include a cross-check to the forms we have, which are pretty prescript in the fields (1099 forms in particular). The gooey interface questions are way too subjective.
