Entering charitable contributions was much more tedious than in previous years. Also, TurboTax insisted I review my state tax return after telling me no state return was required for Washington State. That was awkward and unnecessary.

Terrible errors in this - i worked with my long time tax advisor of 35 years. Premium does not work for a property claiming the 250K real estate exemption. ChatGPT was barely able to salvage this. Do not use unless your taxes are very simple.

The software just wants me to buy your audit services which no one needs. Why must you ask me over and over and over again to buy something I DO NOT NEED????

First check ran smoothly, then when I reviewed it, I got errors all of a sudden. This was in reference to 1099-R, got errors about NYS taxes withheld & State amt distributed. The original 1099-Rs did not have anything in that field.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and this year has not gone smoothly. The 529 program errors caused me significant frustration--had to 'fudge' book expenses numbers to get the correct result--no tax due (until you corrected) I do taxes for my family. Just e filed the second Federal return. And I get a message that I've reached my 5 submission limit for Federal!! When I go to file the next return it better not charge me or I'll ask for a full refund on my Turbo Tax purchase.

TurboTax Premier should offer more detailed advice on topics such as how to determine RMDs, whether RMDs are even required for defined-benefit pensions, how to deal with the foreign dividend tax, etc. Also, it would help a lot to include an introductory set of questions about whether the hassle of itemizing deductions is worth it. This would have saved me a couple of hours of data entry this year and last. And I live in a state with no income tax, so all of that is a waste of time.

TurboTax is always frustrating because it asks questions that could easily have been answered when inputting data from tax forms. it is irritating to get to the end of the process (tax check) and have to return to the input process to understand what the product is asking for. I have been using TurboTax for many, many years and what I described continues to happen.

I would prefer better information and direction on 1098-T and 1099-Q information. The software is not particularly clear when it comes to 1098-T data that is split across the current tax year and subsequent tax year. I would also prefer more direction regarding work in another state other than my state of residency.

I have always liked Turbo Tax but this year they got sneaky and I was considering switching. I have windows 10 and like to do my taxes with the desktop version and not online. I also don't want to upgrade just yet. This years desktop version only works with Windows 11 which is a huge inconvenience. Why??

I AM CONFIDENT THAT MY TAXES HAVE BEEN CALCULATED CORRECTLY THIS TIME. I WAS ABLE TO VERIFY THE CALCULATIONS BY SWITCHING FROM THE LEAD ME TO THE FORMS PAGES. I WISH THAT THEY WOULD HAVE A LINK THAT WOULD GO DIRECTLY TO THE IRS INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTH FED AND STATE TO INCLUDE A LINK WHERE THE VALUES CAME FROM ONE FORM TO ANOTHER. I REALLY DO NOT LIKE DOING TAXES AND THIS MADE IT EASY. WORKING FROM MY SPREADSHEET TO TURBOTAX WAS SEEMLESS. THERE WERE NO INTERFACE PROBLEMS AND THE UPDATES BEING LOADED BEFORE WORKING ON THE RETURN NEVER FAILED. COMPATIBILITY GOOD.
